basically u have hella better steering and handling now, an occassional drift, but its only a minor one. start off is good, though after u start after a while even if u turn u go in straight line, so wierd. i felt that ur orig camber and toe and decel for lsd caused some major understeer, check this out and tell me if u like it duck, this is for u :) :sly: 👍 :nervous:

I'll try them out.

And just so you know, if you have settings directed towards me, either PM me and/or post them in one of my threads.

BTW, I use manual, the DFP, and a racing cockpit, so it's a lot easier to shave off 10 seconds. If I used the DS2 and automatic (I'm assuming you're using it), then I'd probably get that time, too.

nope, manual here too, it might be me cuz i took about 30 for everything including testing. i use the cockpit view too, lol, im no nub. i forget what dfp is at the moment, so yeah. my settings are ok for me, but overall i believe that the car has understeer problems period. itll be a challenge for me to make it turn like a champ

DFP = Logitech Driving Force Pro

One thing you have to consider with this car, and other AWD, is that they're AWD. It will always understeer to some degree.

And about the set-up, you're lacking one thing that will make your cars better. Chassis Downforce. It offers high speed stability, and for a car of that power, it is absolutely necessary to keep it on the road, even with the insane amounts of downforce offered by the wing. This is called raking, and this will make the car stick to the road even more. If you raise the rear end by 30 clicks more than the front, then chassis downforce comes in effect. Also, about the front ride height, you want to raise it 15 clicks from minimum. It's not a case of bottoming out (well, that could be a small part of it), but proper suspension travel. If the car bottoms out on a bumpy track (Sarthe, Nurburgring), then you will need to raise the ride height by 5 front and rear and see if the car still bottoms out. Lather, rinse, repeat until there is no more bottoming out.

I'm sure you want to be a tuner around here, and I'm offering you suggestions to improve upon your settings. You can blow off my advice, but raked tunes, in comparision to non-raked tunes, are almost always better.

1. I'm not trying to make you look like an idiot. That's the least of my intentions.

2. I'm not meaning to send negativity your way. If I did, then I'm sorry.

3. I'm giving you my suggestions so that if you ever want to not modify other's settings and create your own from scratch, you have a few tried and true tips to help you.

Anyway, I didn't mean to send out any negativity towards you.

wait...so are the settings in this thread Duck's or Djaft3rd3ats' edited version of Duck's? Because I love ZZIIs (I now have one in every color) and I want Duck's settings (becuase he knows how to tune and drives hella sick!)

thanks

ohh, DUCK! PM me your ZZII settings if u have time (unless they are the same at the top)

Here's my settings: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1717119&postcount=2

And the settings in this thread is Djaft3rd3ats' edited version of my settings.

Thank you for your compliment. I appreciate it a bunch. :D

I don't consider myself as a driver to the point of "hella sick". I personally think I'm pretty good, but not to the point of "hella sick". But anyway, thanks for another compliment. :D

In my all-consuming quest to find something that handles as well as the Lotus Elise IIIr but has more power / speed, I bought the ZZII and found that it understeers horribly and attempts to straighten out horribly when you get on the throttle around a corner.

The worst thing is that PD doesn't seem to have made this car handle like a mid-engined car should. It feels almost exactly like a front-engined AWD car.

I won't bother to post my settings until I tune them more, but I have managed to get the car to handle more like a mid-engine car should be reducing both front and rear LSD settings to their minimums and adding some ballast to the rear. It now has throttle-off oversteer as a mid-engine car should. I also added the VCD controller and cranked the power as far to the rear as possible. I'm much happier with the vehicle now, but it still needs work. As always, I run all cars with no nannies, not even TCS.

My point? Don't be afraid to play around with the ballast on this car, it made a huge difference for me adding some rearward ballast.

Ima just gonna retire here to the racing porch and argue theory with crackpots...
