Righto people, I'm building a racing set up for the G25 I just bought. I know how I'm going to construct it - steel box section. I have drawn plans. I have been thinking about the design for weeks. I have searched the internets. I have gone to Bunnings to research the materials.
I have sorted where to "acquire" the bolts I shall be using, and I have all the tools I need (I'm an industrial sparkie - this shouldn't be a problem). So the engineering is all sorted, I'm ready to begin, except for one thing. I NEED A SEAT!
Ebay has some, but not really what I want. My missus would tear me a new one if I shell out for a new racing bucket seat after just paying for the G25 (and all the materials I'll need to construct the set up). I have a mechanic friend looking out for me for a seat.
Does anyone know any good wreckers around the Brisbane (Australia) area that will likely have what I'm after? I'm hesitant about getting one from a wrecker due to the cost, and due to the car sitting outside with the windows down letting the seats get covered in who knows what.
Or in fact do you know anyone with a seat they need liberated?
Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
P.S I realize there are TONS of racing set ups on here already, and they look amazing, but if anyone is interested in looking at my setup once I get building, let me know and I'll document the build I'm not saying it will be able to compare with some of the efforts here, but I reckon the way I've planned it it's gonna be a bit of alright 👍
