Firefox virus crash?

I've did a bit of research and can't find anything but I guess my step mom's computer crashed when using firefox, due to a virus. However I didn't find anything related to having that browser would affect a hard crash.
Any idea's on if it was firefox?

I don't think it was firefox or I wouldn't be using it right now. I am thinking of a hardware failure or something.

Try starting in safemode and going to Help>Trouble Shooting Information>Reset Firefox
Could be anything causing the crash, look at the crash logs for more details.

You can also get a program called BlueScreenView to show you what caused the crash.

And run a scan just in case you are infected.

Fire up malwarebytes and run a scan. I'd be very surprised if the issue is actually with Firefox itself.
