I love it so far, but this game really demands a wheel. I gotta figure out a way to set up my DFGT wheel now that I bought a tv for my room.

(I gotta get my damn welder fixed..lol)

I've played it for an hour or so and like it. I don't want to comment much on the handling as I won't be able to use a wheel until tomorrow. A.I seems over aggressive but at least they have some personality. It's been a lot of fun so far though, will get more into it tomorrow.

One thing I must say though is that Shanghai is a terrible track, at least the Yan'an route is, who on earth thought it was a good idea to put jumps on a race track, especially right before the turn.

Also, apparently just playing the demo is enough to get the Hot Persuit bonuses.:D

LOL, I am actually looking forward to seeing how people take that corner online!

Can anyone comment on the quality/accuracy of the drifting?

I've never been ver good at Drifting in GT5, so I'm not a very reference...

But I think it's very, very hard in Shift 2. I haven't got the hang of it yet...

If somebody has some trick, I'll gladly take it!

Good feedback guys, keep it coming. Its now been over 12hrs for me. I just now took a 1 hr break before I jump back on. I will be tweaking my wheel setup to the one AWDwhite came up with to see if that help in my case. I got it descent but it can always be better.

Only thing that went wrong for me is a graphics/sound glitch. It happened twice. My car was painted half neon blue that looked metallic with a glow kit and the sound was of a people talking instead of the engine. None of the HUD worked. Maybe I played took long and my unit needed a break or its really a glitch. No biggie though.

So far I am liking it as well. Its a challenge. The A.I. is aggressive and has wrecked me a few times. At least they don't back off though. Night racing is awesome. This is how night racing should look. Headlights work great. They even glare.

This game is loaded with races. There are lots more that are hidden that you unlock as you go along.

In bumper view, the gauges can be used as a side mirror. Look at it closely and you will see the reflection of the cars behind you. Pretty cool. The odometer keep true miles driven for your car. The shaking side/rear view mirror happens due to the whole car vibrating due to track conditions. The hood even vibrates.

As far as game design, the only thing I would change at this point is the auto scrolling menus that describe what each tuning part does. I should be able to scroll it myself. The long list are annoying when your trying to read it and its moving.
