Welcome to constructive criticism, and tips for tuning in general.

First, do oil change and buy every every part except nitrous.

Tires: Sports Soft.

Suspension:
Ride height: 95, 95.
Spring Rate: 4.75, 5.25.
Dampers, comp.: 5, 5.
Dampers, ext.: 5, 5.
ARB: 4, 4.
Camber: 1.0, 1.8.
Toe: - 0.10, 0.18.
Brakes: 5, 6.

Auto set transmission to 217.
1: 3.386.
2: 2.130.
3: 1.483.
4: 0.859
Final: 3.449. (If you can't get the numbers, try setting final first, not sure what order I did them in).

LSD:
10.
5.
20.

Ballast:
27 @ - 30.

You should have the following stats:

PP: 600.
HP: 798.
Weight: 957 kg.
Weight distribution: 49, 51.
Torque: 774.

Try it out and see what you think! Really hard car to control, and stock has bad oversteer. I managed to cut it a bit.

Makes it easier to read and use, at the moment I'm not even sure what car to use or what tires to put on it!
Clear these things up and I'll have a look at it and see what's what

My bad, will edit the post. It's the Shelby 427 S/C Chrome Line (610,000 from dealership). Sports soft tires.

Ok cool, I will have a go with it later after I finish the tune I'm working on. Haven't driven the cobra in GT6 yet, but I remember it being quite difficult to tune in GT5, loads of power and no grip!

Initial impressions: (+) Not bad, much less slidey under acceleration, pulls well out of corners
(-) Quite a bit of initial understeer before the back swings around like a pendulum, terrifying when braking hard!

(your gearing is also impossible? tried it every way I can think of but some of the numbers are impossible to set)

Good first attempt, but needs work
I will spend some time on it and see if I can balance it up a bit, at the moment it is just too tricky to be of any real use

I don't know how I got them, I just tweaked and that's how they ended up.

I know about the understeer, what I didn't know is how to fix it... And yeah, hard braking is pretty rough.

Thanks for the review though, and feel free to post your tune here, and I'll put it on my car (Not stealing your tune, just using it in the game).

Try that
I used to use this tune on GT5 and it seems to work fairly well after adjusting the LSD settings. You're always going to be fighting against the car but it is stable at least, doesn't jiggle around during cornering so much

(If this is someone else's tune, my sincerest apologies. I've pulled it from a file where I kept all my old GT5 tunes and settings, I can't remember which ones are mine and which aren't)

Thanks, I' ll try it tomorrow.

No worries, hope it works for you.
I think this car would probably be quicker with less power oddly enough, the tires are really struggling to deal with all those horses. I'm sure you could get a great lap out of it, but you'd struggle to be consistent due to the way this thing eats tires. TC 1 and SRS really benefit a car like this for racing as you don't have to nurse it out of every corner

Back.

Thanks for the tune, it's abig improvement over mine, but I think I'm just going to have to stick this car in the "Just for looks" folder. Wheels just heat up way too fast.

I wish the car was better but it is just impossible to tame. Incredible in a straight line but just too nervous in the bends, definitely not a usable race car. Its as magnificent and useless as the veyron!

Exactly, except the Shelby looks ten times better (In my opinion). Epic drag racer though, both of them.

agreed, I admire the engineering on the veyron but it is not my idea of desirable. Some cars only do one thing well and I've never really been into drag racing

Same, like the concept of drag racing, but in the end it's just throttle and shift for me. I perfer ovals and track racing. Shelby is nice for photos though.

Yeah, I appreciate there is a huge amount of skill involved in drag racing but it is still just driving in a straight line. I've seen a bit of oval racing, it seems very tactical which is kind of cool in its own way and there is no denying that the amphitheatre like setting and high speeds involved certainly makes for a certain kind of drama, but again it is not for me. I love circuit racing most of all, my favourite is the Brittish Touring Car Championship. The cars are saloons with about 300 Bhp, a mix of FWD and a few RWD car that are extremely closely balanced making for close and furious racing that leads to an awful lot of body contact and daring overtakes.
There is no denying that the Cobra is a beautiful car, British roadster styling with a big splash of American muscle and showmanship. Both the Cobra and the Daytona Coupe were absolute masterpieces of their era.

Agree with everything, except the part on ovals. There's just so much potential for so many things when it's the same car, or something like nascar.

Love european cars to, I'm just 'Murican at heart :P.

Yeah I guess its just what you're exposed to that alters your perception of different racing series. We don't really have oval racing over here, its all circuit racing. I guess its mostly down to history, America had the bootlegging that lead to nascar and a street drag racing scene, Britain had circuit racing due to our abundance of abandoned airfields after the end of WW2 and our estate roads that became race tracks

Oh, I like almost all kinds of racing, NASCAR is just my soft spot. Something about the high speed and the roaring engines, and the close pack racing.

Hey fellow speed heads! I've enjoyed the posts. Yep that Cobra is a handful alright - the old 'reverse snap, pull it back, drift around every corner technique'. What I did find fun - and I know you guys will too is a great use for the little bugger. Easy win against all the monsters in 'Like the Wind'. Boy it flies. Mind you, I maxed it out and reduced all the weight so as you can imagine a straight line is all its good for! Keep up the good work DolHaus and keep at it Dagger. :)
