im not new to drifting, i can drift many turns and link them together at will

but ive seen many drift the first corner at apricot hill-it looks so cool :)
i can get most way through then go in to the grass and lose it

can someone tell me what speed to enter and exit and stuff like that

Well, what i usually do is build up alot of speed on the straight and then brake to turn the car sideways in the first apex of the corner, then you have to slow down alot to keep yourself from going into the grass but keep enough speed so that you can keep going to hold your car sideways and sway into the 2nd corner.

It's not as much the speed you take, as the line you should take... A good method for entering is a slight feint, or braking entry (or combination of both)... Then once you've begun your drift, and enter the 1st corner, shift down into 3rd... Then when you come up on the 2nd (smaller) corner, shift down into 2nd gear, and continue on... Continue on through the next 4 corners if you want to be sassy... 👍

Brake early hold it till your sideways and down to a speed that feels safe, then get a small amount of wheelspin to turn the car with the rear wheels, then coast or brake to scrub off as much speed as you need to hit the 1b apex and point and jab to hit your clipping point then feather it to link into turn 2. DON'T LOOK AT YOUR SPEEDOMETER YOU WILL WRECK!!! Go with what speed feels right.

That's how I do it with my 445bhp 240sx on sim tires. Just try to hit your apex's and balance the car out sideways and you'll be fine. :P

It sounds like you are doing way too much work... It's a very simple double apex if you keep it simple...

Or maybe it's just the way you are explaining it that makes it sound too complicated...

I'm a perfectionist lol. No it's just the explanation, that's what is going on and why. I don't have to think about any of this at all when I'm doing it. It's just an innate response. I look at my apex and I hit it sideways lol. All I'm actively doing at the time, and it always works because of ^ post.

i did it , i drifted the first corner at apricot hill and took a good line but i could of gone a lil faster

DR, i use a 300x that can maintain constant wheel spin in 3rd do i HAVE to ds to 2nd or could i stay in 3rd i have the same problem of drifting out into the grass on the 2nd corner

If you are going off into the grass into the 2nd corner, you are going too fast... You either need to drop your throttle a bit (half throttle) in third, or drop to 2nd...

;)

here is the way i did it

coming up to the turn in 6th gear

right as i pass under the 50m sign i brake for as long as i take to ds to 4

then as i slide up to the red and white i ds to 3rd then at the end sometimes for driftline correction i ds to 2nd

Me I find the 1st bend very easy 2nd bend is a lil hard but I find it better if ya go a little slow then speed it up, it seems to me to be easier to speed it up to the right speed then slow it down to the right speed. Don't go too slow or ya stall, say full throttle in 2nd just before the 2nd bend the shift up to 3rd so ya quick enought. Oh this works for me because it the way I thought my self Oh and I love drifting on that hair pin the one that where the stright is.

I personally like the Apricot Hill track. I drift with my S2000 and many other cars on that track all the time and I always clear the 1st corner.

Well this is how I do it with my S2000. I'm usually in 6th gear(stock tranny), then I would stay to the far left, the pit exit area, swing the rear to the left, brake, let the rear kick out, downshift to 4th gear, then just counter steer and so on from there and as the RPM drops or so, I would just downshift.

The tires I use are simulation tires. So it's really slippery.

i'm much agree with DR techniques. sometimes u need to shift to 2nd gear to get a grip for your car and prevent it to slide outside the track and slamn on the wall. but be careful with the throttle coz if too much u might ended up spinning. i also sometimes apply the e-brake after passing through the 1st corner to push the car a bit further and near to the 2nd corner red and white kerb road kerb.
