FITT: "British Invasion" Congrats to - praiano63, DolHaus, Motor City Hami, Otaliema

I was happy to have gotten under 2:02, now I've got to find another second somewhere

Edit: When it comes to acceptable laps, how far off the track is too far off the track? There are a few run offs that don't red flag the lap where you can make a bunch of time
My opinion on this is that the run offs can help time and hurt time, if it does not red lap then no reason to not use them. However, if you will be testing, all cars should be given equal access to them. There are at least three corners on track where running a little wide helps these cars on exit, but be careful as one seems ok but if you go too far it will red lap. My best lap had extra run off on exit, believe it would be the first turn of the National course, pinching the car down would loose 3-4 tenths according to the following laps. Should try not to go too far off, I still had the inside tires on the rumble strips, which can upset the car in some sections of track.

Anyone have an issue with this statement?

@Motor City Hami - your in Sir, again, glad to see you join in. Rules are a little different but the cars are so close at these specs, both have 1 issue each they struggle to get removed. Will be interested in how they get approached.

Just to be safe after an update, if anyone has access to their ps3 can they please check the Street and Pro cars and make sure that no changes have occurred? Always someone who feels there may be but most of the time is just placebo, but just for arguements sake.

I've always gone with 2 wheels on or inside the white lines (track boundary) is a fair lap, anything else unless incurring an appreciable time penalty is potentially gaining an unfair advantage and therefore disallowed

Should always have at minimum 2 tires on track, that would include the strips as that is the red lap guide line. All 4 off should be discouraged.
yes and appers to be working
@ImToLegitToQuit and @shaunm80 are bot on my FL and both has stats in their data, dunno if the share is working or not I havnt gone to fav cars yet was getting my new scoobie
You
Id like to think that I've got pretty impressive stats. :) I will try and share a car later and see if you or anyone else on my FL can see it, use it etc..
And you, are both on my FR, ignore my stats as I lose some races trying to use weaker cars. :sly:

I lose tons of races tuning cars lol, it dosn't show win % Liscense, Liscense awards, Game progress, Stars Cars owned, Total distance, Clubs *new fetaure*, Fav cars, and photo's and any information you want to share via inttroduction.
@shaunm80 I have shared a MP4-12C can you see it?

I couldn't see it in your favourite car section in the community.. I have put up a Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta pass corto CN.2521 '61 for my friends to try and drive. I am pretty proud of this particular tune :)

Edit: Infact @Bowtie-muscle I can't see any stats on your profile. According to my screen you are still a novice.. Thats a bit unfair on you. Id say your at least an amateur. :)

Present and NOT useable. had to exit and reload the community page to get it up. Looks like it's a car show off room right now.

@Bowtie-muscle Car handling seems to have not been impacted.

I'm just updating now, will throw a few friend requests out once I'm done and see if we can't work it out 👍
Apparently the Motec i2 data logging software now works with GT data, looking into that as well

http://www.motec.com/i2/i2downloads/
(free software download, runs fine on my ancient PC so shouldn't present any problems for anyone else)

Overdue FR sent :)
Hows the i2 software work? save a replay and load it onthe computer than you can view the telemetry in it?

I don't race online very often due to a patchy connection (well, decent connection, 200yr old house with 8ft thick stone walls ) so I don't often send out requests, its nothing personal 👍

Thank you
Not sure yet, I'm assuming that's how it works and hopefully it will give more usable/accurate data points
As soon as I'm updated and running again I will begin investigations 👍

It's good to have mroe lines to chase in a seasonal most of the time, each of us has a difffering style and we each have a slighly differnet line for a corner so you can find the best line faster.

Have downloaded it but not installed or loaded any data into it, does it have tire loading or temp?
It does but they're not working (as far as I can tell)
It does have a working "friction circle" though, that could be helpful for working out camber effects

Plug a usb into your ps3 and you can transfer the data straight onto it rather than going through the whole tranfer to hardrive/quit game/copy/paste rigmarole. Nice touch I though

hmm I think I have a cable for that....

yeah most USB are male/male you would need a A to A cable or a A to B/Micro/Mini junction, maybe a USB hub would do it.... have a couple of thouse.
Using some form of external hardware seems easier
Your phone can be used for storage if you have a USB cable
