FITT Miata Tuning Challenge

I wish we have little check marks telling us what chips we already had.
Amaranth Metallic is from the XJ220. Straight Amaranth is from the MGF.

I wish we could filter our chips by manufacturer!

I don´t have too much time to spend on my 2 cars. Too much job here for carnaval.
I´ve build my 2 cars, they are good cars and i think also fast cars. Would like to have more time to check all the tuning options ..... but no way.
I´ll publish them tomorrow i think.
 
Id like to attend this event as a tuner.

I have put together two tunes already.
I am just finishing off the Improved Touring car but the Roadster Touring Car is ready to rock and roll.

Those are some good looking cars! Can't wait to try the touring class tune.

I am pleased with the Touring Car tune. I have been testing it online and it works well in the lobbies as well as in the free run mode. The other car is a little tail happy! Sports Hard tyres are tricky little things.

Your improved tune can't be any more tail happy than mine. Should have waited a little while to post it, but ah well...live and learn.

-in 1st post where the cars have got the circuits as I chose 450 PP Mazda Roadster RS (NC) '07 circuit (Matterhorn Rotenboden) and 500 PP in Mazda Roadster Touring Car (Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit) wish you good luck in the choice is up to on 02 March.:cheers:👍
 
I chose the Improved section on Apricot Hill (200 BHP) (I think thats right) and the Touring Car on Silverstone (500PP). Main thing to remember is NO oil change and check the restrictions for the area you choose.

Just pick one or two classes from the four available and post your tune(s) by this Sunday night.

Yes, you can sign up just as a tester. You can do one or all four groups as you wish.

Since we cannot share cars yet you will need to build and adjust all the settings properly for each car. You can check the archives in the main FITT thread (link in my sig) for what is expected of testers. In this case it will be fastest laptime on the specified track for each class and a driver's choice score, basically a subjective rating of the tune. Any comments you have about each tune are more than welcome as well but optional.
 
SCCA Spec Miata

Ok, I've really enjoyed this challenge but it's the first time I've tried to tune a car like this. I have no prior knowledge and have only read the excellent guides on this forum so please go easy on me.

I've also never driven without aids but after spending a week changing then test driving then changing then test driving I surprised myself by suddenly remembering that there was no aids switched on. Ha must be testerment to my tune that I completely forgot that I was driving without them on. I wish.

I managed to get a tad under 1.29 on streets of willow with my tune which I know is slower than others on the thread but I'm also not a very good driver so I'm really keen to see what times a better driver could get with my tune.

I made a conscious decision not to look at other tunes. I'm hoping to learn from feedback where I've gone wrong and the go to places to improve on this as I just don't know.

Anyway, enough from me. Thanks very much for this great beginners challenge I can't say how much I've enjoyed trying this.

I would say that is probably a good time, I know that I am one of the slower drivers on here too and I got just over 1:29 on Streets of Willow. It should be a good challenge due to how tight the requirements for each event is.

Can I be put down as a tester for the Spec and Touring classes? I'll spend Saturday getting used to the track for the Spec challenge. I've got some good notes down on the apricot hill series for most of the tunes listed so far.

Roadster Touring Car FITT tune
Roadster '07 FITT tune
I may be able to get some better photo's for the photo mode comp no promises things are getting crazy around my house right now.
I'm pretty happy with the tunes, the Touring car is pulling low 2:10's in my hands consistently, the Roadster '07 is pulling low 1:46's consistently when i get clean runs. 1:52's when I slip up.
