Alright all you Flash users out there.... Here's the deal. My band just got a 3-camera semi-professional video done at a live gig this last Saturday, and I'm currently editing some of the video and the audio. What I thought would be cool, would be a Flash intro that I would, in some way, use the "Jammin" onion dude found either on www.mp3.com\blueonion or www.blueonion.net

Once the Flash is complete, I'll convert it to AVI and import it into the video's intro with the music playing in the back ground where I'll then fade to the original starting of the music video. I'm just looking for something really creative with no limitations.

I will of course give full credit for the intro to the winner at the end of the video. The video, if good enough, might even be marketed to the masses.

Optimum size would be 720x480....., total play time: More than 30 seconds, but less than two minutes. File size is not an issue, but keep it in the flash format. Text info should include but not limited to: "Live at Club Central - Kalispell, MT" and "08-31-02"

Any Questions? ;)

I have added a short clip of a flash animation as it integrates into the video to give you guys a little (little as in 160x120) example of how the transition will work.

You can download it at:

www.blueonion.net/media/adobe-test-small-b.mov (8.82mb) quicktime format, no sound.

Thanks for your time...

~Peace~

Wow, do we have a lack of Flash users? I never knew....:)

If you want to go for it Troy1, by all means, don't hold back. Forget about the other people that don't like your work...., it would be lack input without your entry... Heck, from the way it looks, you and I are the only ones that know Flash...:D

~Peace~

Fine, you twisted my arm :P I
'll give it a whirl, so let me get this straight. 780x480 must be more than 30 seconds, and contain the blue onion man, and contain "Live at Club Central - Kalispell, MT" and "08-31-02"

Boy animating that onion will be tough, I may have to whip out photoshop

 The twist didn't hurt too bad did it? :D

720x480, standard DV-NTSC format. The writing doesn't have to be grouped together, but the message has to get accross....

I can add it later, but a 5 second intro and 5 second outtro of a blank background would be optimal... You know, to give the tape a chance to take off..., and to give the transition effect into the video some time.

Other than that, have fun with it.

~Peace~

Well, Flash animations take a lot of time to make. Do you have a deadline?

No real deadline..... I'm going to be re-recording the guitar and bass lines this sunday, and would like to have something to show the guitarist by then, but if not then, later..... ;)

I'll also note, because the size of the file might be more than what is allowed here...., I'll host the entries on my site. The file can be emailed or uploaded to my ftp...

Question: Are you expecting something kinda as simple as the mov movie you gave us? Because this little dude is a tough guy to animate! I got his arm to move back and forth though, like he's playing guitar.

It's totally up to you guys.... Even just a static onion dude, with animated graphics giving the message is fine.... Again, my only requrements are to have the message given to the viewer.... The rest is totally up to you...

Dang, due to lack of endtrails, I mean entries....this contest is now over. :)
