Regular CRT monitor for me, please. LCDs are expensive and their screen size lacks to CRT monitors. Their refresh rates are not very high and they are not good for playing games.

Well, considering that my iBook came with its very own LCD flatscreen (aren't those Apple people just so nice?), I vote for flatscreen. ;) However, in optimal conditions, I think a CRT is better on the eyes for looking at during long periods of time, since LCDs can be a bit overwhelming, even with the brightness turned down.

I think it comes down to the quality of the individual device, but I love my Dell-badged Sony 21" monitor. It has a really flat screen, and a rock-solid image - all the benefits of an LCD panel. I can look at it for ages, and it does everything I want. OK, so it's the size and weight of a house, but it's a quality item. To get an LCD panel that will do 1600x1200 is expensive, big-style.

I wouldn't trade my 21'' Trinitron CRT monitor for anything. I've used plenty of LCD's, but I prefer the refresh rate, quality, and practical price CRT provides.

If size wasn't a consideration I would go CRT's all the way, but in my unconsiderate space I enjoy my dual LCD's.

Flatscreen CRT. I cant stand the warped picture of a non flatscreen CRT... its too too warped... it makes your desktop look funky. Regular CRTs are so bland.

And while I appreciate LCDs, they are way to expensive for the average person to afford.
