Hello fellow dragger's, iv had something on my mind for a while now and that thing is........WHAT'S WITH ALL THE DAM HONDA DRIVER'S?, people say to me ''I'll beat you any day in my Honda'' who care's!. The idea is to tune something you'll never get to in real life, like enzo's and mustang's and even a evo and 69 charger. My point is that i could buy a Honda tomorow for 2,000 buck's and tune it myself in real life, so why do it in a game that has plenty of exotic car's to enjoy?.... Thank you for your time. :-)

Where does it say in the manual you're not allowed to use a Honda? Better question: Where in the manual does it tell you to only drive cars you won't get to use in real life?

I bet your a Honda driver AOS... I really don't see the point in drag tuning Hondas lol, my thought is that if it's not quick it's not worth it..

I usually create my own room so that I can tune the cars in my garage (Hondas included) because I am tired of seeing the same dang cars in every room every.single.day. I like showing up in rooms with a car that is unique and nicely tuned. There are plenty of cars to choose from to tune. Try your hand at tuning something new. It will make for more interesting races in a lot of these rooms. I'm getting tired of dragging Enzos, ACR's, Vettes, and GTR's every night.

The thought that people should only use exotic cars that you'll never drive is narrow minded. Yeah you could buy a Honda tomorrow, but would it be easier to do? No, it wouldn't.

When did i say only exotic? Im narrow minded? The thought of only tuning Honda's sound's pretty narrow minded to me.

My first car was a honda... - EK civic

I've owned them for 8 years

Theyre very light, have double wishbone suspension all around, and its easy to make them fast

(13's in the 1/4 with a <$5k engine swap)

Theyre cheap, reliable, and the aftermarket is infinite.

There is a HUGE honda following in the world, and GT5 is a great place for honda fan's to come together.

Cheap yes.
Reliable until you start messing with it.
Yes honda has a huge following, and if they all jumped off a bridge I'd laugh as you followed them.

I kid, I kid. fact is that I drag everything. I even have a tuned honda, but I rarely bring it out because there are so many other cars on this game that I can enjoy so much more.

Honda people are the ones that need to be more open minded, just because it has a bigger motor, has the power going to the correct wheels and is fast doesn't make it a bad thing. :)

Well can you purchase a exotic car tomorrow? No? Oh, well that's what we were getting at...

And who's to say those people who tune Honda exclusively?

And that's why i tune exotic's in game because i can't buy one!. Think you missed the point of the OP.

Your point seems to be that you should only do (in your opinion) drag setups in GT5 that you could never do in real life.

And if you've ever tried to get more than 250 horsepower or even close to the 400 horsepower that you can get out of small four-bangers in the game... and then actually tried to get a front-wheel drive econobox to hook up on the dragstrip, you'd realize that not every Honda owner... in fact, a vanishingly small fraction of them... can actually do this sort of stuff to their own cars in real life. And not for less money than it'd cost to buy yourself an exotic or high-powered sportscar. Built engines, and the transmissions and driveshafts that go with them, are expensive.

If you don't want to see low-powered cars... guess what? Set up your own drift lobby or look for one with a specific theme or power cap.

Understood, but it get's very annoying when a crew of 6 enter your drag room with civic's when they know im dragging my veyron for fun. Then hit and ram you because you won't get a civic out.

Yea, it is a bit lame. I think the whole ricer thing is a joke, but hey, people are free to waste their money on whatever makes them happy. I might start dragging Hondas because I'm a bit bored of the old ACR, GTR, ZZII....
