Does anyone but me absolutely love the menu music?

It's ridiculously calming and it's engaging, I've never really cared for the music used in many games when in the menu selection screens, save for a select few, but this really hits the nail on the head. It's a perfect mix of awe-inspiring to flat out melancholy, but without the sadness in-between. I've actually spent a great deal of time in the menus (customization, storefront, etc...) doing what needed to be done there and just to listen to the music. Apparently it seems they went back to what was done in the original, original tunes as opposed to licensed tunes (most of which always suck ass anyway), I'm unsure if they went back to JunkieXL or not, but massive kudos to whomever put the pieces together.

I can't seem to find the one I personally like best anywhere on Youtube, but anyhow, how do you feel about the menu soundtrack and what's your favorite tune if you do like it?

From what I have heard so far, the musical aspect of the game is really bad (in my opinion of course). That thing that plays while you are in the menu is seriously ugly. I can't help but fail to find any connection between the music and the game (most of the time). It just doesn't fit.

I am playing the game at a friend so far, will buy my box and game next week (I hope, depends on when the game will arrive to the store), and I really fear for my Z-5500.

Connection? What connection?

Look how Shift turned out, again, with a "star-studded" (does anyone still say this? :lol:) licensed track that blows, hard. The best music in Shift is that of the menu ambiance. I can see your point though (as I stated anyhow) because aside from 2 or 3 really good songs that I liked from FM2 the rest of it was just dull and obnoxious, especially that Spanish song or whatever it was...

....What the hell was that about?

Wow....and this is my favorite soundtrack for a game to date, and seems to have the best relation to the in game driving and menus.

Normally I put my custom playlists in on day one of buying a racing game, however, I haven't done that yet with this game. That is a first.

I love it.

i agree, i like the music overall in the game. the menu music is like an ambient, liquid Drum'n'bass style, and the in-game music has a more up-beat hyped drum'n'bass feel. goes well with the intensity of racing and focusing on driving line. If there's a set list somewhere, i would like to see it! Good driving music in real life. :)👍

I'm not much of a fan of the in-game (when racing) soundtrack. It was a lot better in the demo. I don't know maybe I've just grown accustomed to no music while driving and anything but really good music annoys me.

Wow... really good music annoys you?? I'd hope my stuff would drive you crazy then! :lol: Though being prog rock, it probably would...

Anyway, I like the menu music a lot too. I forget who it is, seems like some British soundtrack artist. I'll dig it up later.

Menu music is so much better than FM2. You know how many times I'd been making vinyls and listened to

"Hi there voters. How do you feel?
Tired of the same old vote appeal?
Well, look who`s back with a brand new style,
a brand new look and a brand new smile."

:crazy::ouch::nervous:
:ill::yuck::banghead:

That, sir...was a screw-up on my behalf. Of course good music doesn't annoy me! :lol:

EDIT: No, no mistake; I said anything but good music annoys me.

Actually, you saind anything but really good music, but I'm just pulling a cord or two ;).

Personalyl I've not really nocide the menu music that much, that means it hasn't annoyed me I guess. I wasn't too keen on the in race music though so I turned that off.

Dude I love that music as well. Ever since annoying FM2 menu music, my wishlist on top was for GT's style menu music, I guess they listen to me!!! :D

Yeah now FM3 is like GT's style menu music, just bit different, but its the same in a way because after race, you relax in the main menu!

I love the soundtrack, and, maybe just me, but, anyone feel that music/menu/background go to the GT way?? (thing that i realy like!)

I don't mind the menu music, but turning off the racing music was one of the first things I did in the game. I've got everything turned off, anyway, I've been driving with no HUD at all in the cockpit view and with no sound but the engine.

Like... not even tire sounds?? Wow, you must really be dialed in tight. I need Forza's tire sounds turned up all the way, personally.

I'll have to say that the Forza 2 soundtrack has to be one of THE worst in gaming. Disliked just about every single song.

And with that said I reiterate....

What the hell was that Spanish song about, or that other crap...

Something about "Party right now." Just, ugh. :yuck:
