After 2-3 days of playing, I found out how to play the game without too much problems:

#1: use steering assist (I don't use brake assist though).

#2: bumper cam (with steering assist) makes the game a lot easier and the controls are WAY MORE responsive.

#3: if you hit the AI (by accident) slightly from behind, immediately let the throttle go.

#4: racing line: Green, accelerate (the analog R2 and L2 are awesome), Yellow, let the throttle go, Yellowish/Orange, don't brake, but slow down (ease on the throttle), Bright red, brake at all cost ! (if you play that way, the AI will rarely ram you, I know, I was getting rammed every race I did and could never finish better than 6, now, I win most of the time).

but you miss all the fun that way... One of the good things about this game is that you can't always finish first.

I had no fun spinning out, hitting fences and finishing last almost every time. Now the game is fun, I'm always fighting against #2 and #3, sometimes #4 for 1st place !

Will try this setup later. I don't use the racing line but am having trouble handling some of these cars. Hopefully it works 👍

After making so many setup changes to my Logitech force feedback pro wheel trying to get the cars to NOT steer like an old ford pickup (if you owned one you know what i mean) I've finally given up and used the steering assist... Its the ONLY way the car doesn't feel like a bowl of jello and the wheel feel like its not even connected. Oh well, it is just a game after all.

What handling mode are you using and what changes did you make to the advanced controls, if any?
