For you rotor rocket lovers....

check this out :D

Arguably more stunning than the Two- Rotor XP-897GT was the so-called "Four-Rotor Car" that appeared a bit later in 1973. Built on the first XP-882 chassis under the aegis of company design chief Bill Mitchell, it carried a pair of GM's experimental two-rotor engines bolted together into a 420 horsepower "super Wankel." A Corvette-like face and obvious high performance potential were taken as strong suggestions that GM was brewing a radical new Corvette for the late Seventies or early Eighties. :ghost:

What? Rotary engines are a testament to genious. If size was proportional to horsepower, a rotary engine the size of a viper engine would be over 1000 horsepower.

The only reasons vipers go kinda fast is because they have a huge engine. Anyone can do that. Going fast in a small engine with ultra efficiency - that's amazing.

indeed, the viper engine isn't very efficent at all. 8.0liter 10 cylinders and only 450hp isnt that good. BUT VIPERS ROCK!

Mustang Cobras have a 3.6 liter engfine (i think) and 8 cylinders..they produce 385hp. They almost reach the vipers hp with a much smaller engine

Er...want to have a chat about torque?

GAY!?!?!? I would have to disagree...gay isn't the word. Take there price and tell me a different car that is better at that price of 20-30 Grand

Alright, RX-7 is better....there, said it, and you can get a 3rd gen for $15,000 or less...

I do believe he is talking "new", and the `Stang is naturally aspired where-as the RX-7 was turboed. In that possition, even I might take a Mustang GT over an RX-7.

Unfortunately I've got a major stiffy for the rotary engine - and I'm not too keen on the styreotype that is applied to Mustang owners.
