Forced to use cockpit view online

I can't play with that view, the blur effect is annoying, the driver turns his head and you're not quite sure if you're drifting...

Just played my first and probably last game online, it's way too tough with a gamepad, cockpit view and no steering assist.

It's a user option, the host can force the view.

I'm just wondering how it is good to force anyone to use a specific view? Not allowing assists I understand, but forcing you to use a view? I am undecided on getting this game or not right now, so how common is it to be forced so far? I could never log in to EA's servers with Shift 1 so I have no experience with Shift online.

Personally i think it's a great option!

Well IMO it is stupid to force people to use the cockpit view and then let them have all assists on or off...

I myself prefer the hood view.
