I've heard that this was the last year an Escort RS was made. I also wanted to suggest this for GT since it was actually thought of being put into GT2.

I've heard that this was the last year an Escort RS was made and I've heard that the mk.6 Escort was decent in general.

Not sure what exactly you heard but the cars only good points were the cost (purchase, running and economy) size (ideal for a small family) and maintenance (parts were cheap and easy to replace).

Other than that, take it from a previous owner, they were dreadful for everything else.
