Don't know why this car isn't in there already, we have the Focus, but I love my little cars. This may be a stand out car in the future...

I have had this car from new for a few months (ST1 spec) and have never had so much fun driving on the roads of Britain. A supercar in every sense of the word. Don't mind whether it is the ST1 or ST2 that gets into the game as long as it's the 3 door version and not the USA version which is 5 door (and released in 2014)

Kaz is welcome to come and scan mine for free.

Handling is even better than the Focus ST

Insanely jealous. I'm currently driving a bog standard pre-facelift Mk6 1.4 Zetec, you won't believe the things that poor car has been through. Once we've finished the house and a few other things, I'm thinking about trading it for an cheap ST-1 and then spending a few £k on it.

My boss currently has an Evo X (entry model) which he track days. He's got a great video of himself at Castle Combe, chasing an ST-1, took him two laps to catch it and another to pass 👍

I want to track it but my wife laughed at the suggestion reminding me we got it for the "school run". Funny how that school run sometimes turns from a mile of 30mph roads to a 10 mile burn through the local countryside. Son keeps telling me to go superfast but I'm a responsible parent.

Get the £599 Mountune upgrade if you can. It adds even more mid range power and doesn't invalidate the warranty.

According to my boss, there are quite a few of them being track dayed, don't think he's seen any ST-2's yet, but a fair few ST-1's. I'll likely end up with an ST-1 and get one of the Mountune packages, that or I might go for a current generation Zetec-S (I like the Aston Martin front end) and and throw the 150hp Mountune upgrade at it. Decisions, decisions :sly:
woo hot hatch
Looking set to become a legend too :D

Does the zetec s have the torque vectoring system? It's definitely worth having.

The only difference between the st1 and st2 is as below.

A start/stop button
Part-leather upholstery (st1 still has Recaros)
Heated front seats
Upgraded Sony Audio system

Adds nothing I needed. The standard stereo is still not bad with mp3, iPod menu system, CD and dab radio included.

Got satnav, dark windows in back and a free style pack upgrade including grey alloys and illuminated ST door sill plates for just under £16,000.

Photos of the blue don't do it justice as the colour changes a little depending on viewing angle. Blue/purpley blue

Looks like only the ST models have the Torque Vectoring system, so perhaps I'll scrub round the slightly more expensive option of the current gen Zetec-S. If I'm honest, I probably prefer the look of the fifth gen cars. They're an ideal format for where we live (city) and I've always enjoyed my little hatchbacks, since my formative years living in rural Dorset. Gotta love a B road thrash :mischievous:

It also looks very nice in green:

Yeah but shame about those heavy rear doors ;)

I find it easier getting my young kids in and out of the back of mine than most 4/5 doors.

Come on Kaz, send your scanning agents here. My car's still in perfect nick.

Spoken like a true performance hatchback owner, no offense.

As much as you could ever need on UK roads but it's far from being a supercar.

Hate that they only give us the 4-door in America :banghead:
The 5 door Fiesta hatch is actually sold in America and Canada. We do also get a sedan, but we don't get the 3 door. And we do get an ST hatch.
