In 2013, a new GT3 spec Ford GT was born to take on the far faster GT3 competition of today: The Lambda Ford GT GT3. This car was developed from scratch by Wiesbaden based Lambda Performance, a company specializing in performance tuning of the Ford GT. Straight away, there is a strikingly large difference between this car and the previous car made by the Swiss-based Matech Concepts. It is significantly wider and the Aero package bares a uncanny resemblance to the former GT1 machine of 2010. Its powered by a 5.3 Liter Roush V8 with around 530 HP and mated to a sequential 6-speed gearbox by xTrac. Also new are the chassis, brakes and all electronics.
The addition of this car would not only bring Lambda Performance to GT as well as another real Ford GT Race car, but it would bring another GT3 machine to compete with the other cars currently featured.
