ok, i bought a ford gt and put lots of upgrades on it. i added atleast 120 hp to
it, brakes, suspension, pretty much everything. so the car is now at 689 hp, but i encountered a problem. the gt just spins out of control, braking is very bad, and i always crash into the wall or spin out on turns. Is the problem that i've put to much extra hp tp the car? should i tune it somehow to make it handle better? thanks for the feedback.

[Shameless plug] I am releasing a GT in the next few days at AMMT, so you can try it when it is released [/Shameless plug]

Okay then, try driving the GT with a bit more steady hand then most cars. Only brake lightly, and try and stay on camber when braking. Without tuning the suspension, that is the best advice I can provide.

You're a bit late. ;)

One more to try. It's not perfect (the GT never will be) but at least it's a good deal better than the original.

I've done maxed out time-attacks using suspension settings at minimum and ASM Oversteer at 10.
Kills the oversteering , brings understeer that is controllable with max downforce.

The sad part of that statement is that it's true.:odd: The GT road car is tons better than the GT40 race car.

I aaume you feel those numbers to be too low?.

Tho' the one you linked is not a suite I engineered myself, if you look at the cars I have worked on you will see that I seldom crank the Brake Balance Controller up very high. As I tend to be working with cars that are Ballasted, stock or reduced downforce and running Road or Sports tyres, having the brakes too high actually hinders more than it helps.

Getting the balance between front and rear to operate as you wish is of great assistance, especially when braking from high-speed into tight corners and has a greater impact that winding up the cylinder pressure.

As I said ...

... no, it's okay, I'll just leave it. I think I said all I needed to.

If you want to take it up with the chap who actually designed the suite feel free to (he does have some real world automotive experience) but it'd be better to try the build out first and see what you think - that is one I have not myself, I do confess, tho' I believe that others have.

I tried this car the other day, stock.

How well does it handle? Well, it doesn't, to tell you the truth. Its harder to drive than most cars but not really any faster.

India94, this car is great-looking, but is obviously not the best car in the game. But if you must drive it, go here and use the setup for the production version:

If you're still having troubles, upgrade the tires or kick up the LSD. Play with the brake balance til you like it. Don't omit to actually add the ballast.

I would suggest, maybe getting one completely stock, with racing tires.

The ford GT is one of those cars that drive easier without ASM.If you use driving aids, try turning ASM off

With all driving aids off, its one of those cars that requires you to break early like most sports cars, but then it doesn't carry the speed through the corners, you you have to wait several decades before you get back on the throttle. Even then it bites back, it has more wheelspin than its RWD rivals from America.

Its just a big muscle car to be honest. Although the fact you do win this car a couple of times through the career mode (the '02 concept model and the '05 production model) so it is quite handy. But if you have the cash for the love of god buy a better car.
