In 2006, David & Andrea Robertson started working towards their dream goal, to win at Le Mans. Their first full racing season was in the 2009 American Le Mans Series where they entered a GTE spec Ford GT, also known as the "Ford GT-R MkVII", and they finished respectably, getting 7th in the GT2 Teams with 42 points.

Their dream then became a reality when they entered the 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans race in the LMGTE Am class. This would be one of the only times a husband/wife team would compete at Le Mans and was also the first, and still only, female podium at Le Mans. It also happened that the date of the race, 11th June 2011, was the Robertsons 7th wedding anniversary.

The race went spectularly well for the Robertsons, as they had managed to finish 2nd in the GTE Am class, beaten only by a Larbre Porsche GT3, with 285 laps completed. This marked the first ever female podium finish at Le Mans and an incredible result for the team.
