My 4,000th post. And to mark the "occasion" I've decided to suggest a car with a loooooong name.
My apologies. :dopey:
BTW, I ran out of space while typing the thread title... true story.

It's been a while since I suggested something so if I miss a step, please go easy on me. This is a limited edition Mustang custom built by not Ford but a "small" and "relatively unknown" bunch of guys at Gaffoglio, located in sunny California. :mischievous:

The "45th" bit refers to the years between the first unveiling of original Mustang at New York Motor Show way back in 1964 and 2009 when Lee Iacocca pulled the wraps off this machine.

Total of 45 examples were planned, each costing a shade under 90 grand. That's a lot for a 'Stang, you know.

Designed by Michael Leone and sold through Galpin Ford dealership, the car came with 4.6 V8, in one of three flavors: normally aspirated with 300 horses, a "cold air" kit boosting the power by 20 extra horses, or one with a belt driven supercharger with over 400 hp. Obviously I'm going with more powerful version.

Everything else is pretty much standard though, including the five speed manual, so it's almost a MY2009 Mustang underneath - Ford Racing Handling pack could be optioned if the customer felt a bit adventurous as well as more powerful brakes if the said customer messed it up.

Nice leather. Mmm. Only this shade of silver was available unfortunately (hence the name) so if you don't like silver... well you're 🤬 out of luck.

In 2011 Iacocca auctioned off his own personal Silver Mustang. Incidentally, the first example off the batch was auctioned off too, fetching a handsome amount of $125,000.

See? Not a vaporware!! Not my house either. :D

Here's the official website for this venture:

Regardless of what you think of the man, I find this car very smooth, for a lack of better description. That's just me however, and I'm sure some of you have an opinion or two.

In that case, do share! Thanks.
