I mean who doesn't want a fuel efficient Mustang?

...only decision to make now is who rides in the back. Oh Yeah!

That car always reminds me my dad. The ugliest car ever made, did he told me someday. I think I agree.
As for an efficient fuel Mustang, I'll take a 92 2.3 l instead. ;)

"Fuel efficient" and "Mustang" are contradictions. The Mustang is a muscle car and a muscle car is about sheer power, not saving some trees. The Mustang II sucks in every way that isn't parting out the chassis. There is a reason why everyone hates this car.

Well the chicks dig it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure if the chick knew what the Mustang II was she would give you the same reaction car guys do. "Ahh gross, that thing is awful." All she is hearing is Mustang and she's thinking, "Mustang, those are suppose to be cool, right?"

Do you actually own a Mustang II though? Ever tried taking it to any big car gatherings? Those cars in 1 piece get zero respect from the car community because, well, it sucks and it's not a Mustang... or a muscle car. The only thing those cars are good for is parting out. The mechanical components from the front end are popular on custom projects, and hopefully that's the ultimate fate of all Mustang II's.

My friend has Mustang II, and it never fails to draw a crowd saying it looks awesome.

Also, the I4 version of this car was known to get 35mpg.

In 1974.

The Mustang II looks good in some parts but notice how the crowd was only talking about the cars looks rather than what the car is. If they knew what the car was supposed to be they'd laugh. I think it's important car companies to start venturing into more efficient cars, but Ford should NEVER have used the Mustang name on their green car.

The fact is, it's still a Mustang, and without it, you wouldn't have anything out today.

True, it's definitely one of the most underperforming Mustangs but I rather like it. I was one of the biggest haters until I got in one. Plus, these cars a light, so it doesn't take a lot to make them fly. They are one of the lightest Mustangs ever built, even lighter than some Fox Bodies. The car was surprisingly comfortable to ride in, more so than a 1970 Mustang.

I also like them because they aren't well liked.

very ugly car, there are much more important cars to put than american trash in the game.

In an alternate universe, Gran Turismo is an American creation and it is exactly like GT, except there are a bunch of POS American cars that nobody cares about.

But there are still every single version of every muscle cars from the 60's-70's in it.

On behalf of all of America, we disagree with you. The Mustang is arguably one of the most iconic cars of all time. It ranks right up there with the Model T, Beetle and Corvette as far as importance and popularlity.

Good. I never said that the mustang isn't iconic but please do not "americanize" Gran Turismo, is a japonese game and still have many iconic american cars. If you want tons of american content please go play Forza Motorsport 4 or 5.

If that was the case, then they need to stop selling to an American market. I am not going to go out of my way to purchase another console again game just for a few cars when they could easily be added to GT which is a better game anyways. Do not tell me what to do. I don't give a crap what type of game it is. It's not your call to make.

The fact is, it's been nominated. Like it or don't like it, it's here and if it gets added good. If not, oh well. And no it doesn't have many iconic American cars, more than half of the "good" ones aren't even in the game. Move along if you don't like it, don't try to sit here and tell me not to "americanize" a game I didn't even make.

Correction, the Ford Mustang is a pony car, not a muscle car. Pony cars offer large amounts of performance, while still maintaining to be both compact, stylish and affordable. Muscle cars offer massive amounts of performance with disregard to overall cost and body size.
