I HOPE GT4 has this version of the 2005 FORD GT. :mischievous:

Yeah, me too (:

In SegaGT2002 on XBox the GT40 concept was the best car in the game. It was amazing how much better than EVERY other car in the game it was.

Ehh, stupid translator thingie. I meant to say; Hey, Ferrari, Ford joined the party, and now we're two to kick your ass. Mr.Porsche.

Or something like that. GT's gonna kick some butt.

Yup. What's Porsche got to offer? Same ole same ole? The 911 GT3 is hella bad ass, but it's soooo expensive. What I think is so amazing about the Ford GT is that they kept the price relatively low.

You would need a GT2 or a Ruf Big Turbo kit on your 996 before you can think about keeping up with a Ford GT.

Yes, but a simple 996 Turbo will destroy a 360 Modena. For 15k less or so. Ferrari will need to come up with something good now.

I hope Ford plans to race it. It would be a shame if they didn't. I would love to see it in the American Le Mans Series. Steve Saleen is coming back this next season with an all new SL-7 LM car, and I'm sure these two cars would give Ferrari an one time victory only.

I couldn't imagine them not racing it. It even has racing stripes! And I believe plenty of other people will be racing it as well.

If they don't race it, people like myself will question the car's track abilities.

And the Saleen S7 is a joke. It's basically the same as the McLaren F1. Build a few hundred racecars, put a couple amenities in them, call it a street car, go racing against street cars turned track cars. When you win, don't forget to mention that your car wasn't a street car in the first place, and that in street trim it cost's double or triple that of the car's your racing against.

The S7 is nothing like the McLaren. The McLaren actually did good on the track...the S7 on the other hand, did not. Corvette > All in that category (GTS class). But yeah, the GT looks amazing, and....yeah. Wow. 0wnage.

Yeah, I know. It's performance in the American Le Mans was very bad. That is why Steve took this last season off and went back to the start to rebuild the new SL-7 Race Car from the ground up.

It sounds like you two have seen the new race car. Where have you seen it? I thought they haven't released any specs, or photos of it yet.

I'm guessing you didn't watch the GTS class this year when the Ferrari 550GTOs creamed the Corvettes?

Yeah, I did. It was great. 👍

I made a mistake earlier, Corvette won again this year by only one point. I must have read the results wrong. Sorry about the confusion.

Cost more than a ford? For its price, and the performance it delivers...its priced like a ford...according to jeremy clarkson.

The Corvette C5 races in the GT class in the British GT series, result for 2003, it got stuffed by the Moslers and TVRs. Finished 10th in the championship.

Still the highest placed Viper was 20th and the highest Ferrari was 25th!

Even though the GT is made to celebrate 100yrs of
ford.gif
they have apparentley had to cram it all together in a short space of time.
The gear box is from Ricardo, body was worked on by mayflower, the steering is from the

Vanquish, Lotus did the chassis, wheels from BBS and the brakes from Brembo.
To quote Jeremy Clarkson 'Doesn't sound very American to me'

Well the GT40 wasn't all American either, so it continues with Fords good relations with Europe.

I mean people in England can go and buy one from any ford dealer. Would you like a Fiesta Sir? No I want the ford GT. :D

I don't like those wheels on the current one though, those ones on the 2005 model look much nicer. Can't wait to see a race car version.
