.....................I think you are mistaken; it's not Taurus, it's Taunus. Not the same car. Taurus was sold in North America, while Taunus was sold in Germany. It was named after a mountain range in that country too. Later models were based on Ford Cortina (from 1970 onwards) all the while Ford Taurus was introduced in 1986.

Yes, you are right .... my uncle has buyed a Ford Taurus in The Netherlands in 1986 ... so I was confused.
Anyway I love both cars .... Taunus and later the Taurus.
