hi guys, here is my first tune ever to be posted and I would like some feedback on it good or bad both are constructive to me. As I'm never happy with a tune till I destroy the car (miles) to high and BHP drops, I try and go for balance with power over outright power and crappy handling the car needs to turn.

so here we go
FORMULA GRAN TURISMO seasonal and offline tune
936BHP

ARB 6 5

Camb 2.0 1.1
Toe A -0.15 0.25

Brake Bias 8/5

Cars tail happy as it is so I did a decent job to stop it now the car behaves most of the problem was lack of turning because you couldn't get the power down, now it's possible to get on the gas early to get better drive.

test track Tokyo R246 time 1:15.010 ABS 1, TRAC 1 trac removed still the same time ABS 1 TRAC 0 (the faster time was trac off) :D *cough* 6 tenths faster *cough*

hope you enjoy the tune I did an will update when I get a chance to do more online races with it, not happy with it online gotta love the new setting sheets not as much writing the tunes down now.

Please leave feedback as it's constructive to me and my team of tuners at NO-LIMITS GARAGE and trade thread

very surprised my tune hasn't had a test from anyone or it has, NO FEEDBACK was left so I know if I've done a good job or if it needs some more work.

@ big berry probably not it's setup for seasonal and offline, but want feedback before I make it an online tune. As I find there are differences in on and off line racing with this car.

slight decrease on the front aero but decrease the rear more than the front but in the limit to keep the car stable, also the gears will need to be adjusted as 2-3-4 are close ratio because of the test track extend those gears and most likely I would also do 6th slightly longer (60 increments at least) but 7th even longer (80-100 increments). hope that helps, still testing myself for that track at your request. :)

slight gear box change I'm topping out on the front straight but pulling 47.7 average will post up my progression with the gear box

progression for gear box time for High Speed Ring 45.803

setting for the box
1st 5.856
2nd 4.059
3rd 3.015
4th 2.360
5th 1.932
6th 1.600
7th 1.343 going up slightly to 1.357 to give 7th a bit more pull

max speed I'm hitting is 374km/h but not bouncing on the limiter just slugish in the pull in 7th so speed will drop to probably 370 on the limiter hope not thou

I'll comment on your tune. It looks good offline, but for online.....on a hi draft track such as Indy, Daytona and HSR you need to set up to 282mph . The 370kmph is approx 230mph, so you would top off for sure. I would drop the ballast, increase rear positive toe angle, lower brake bias and braking sensitivity in the lsd. Tire choice is fine, I like RS and RH. I'm personally better with RH. Also I would turn on the tire indicator in the menu when you pause while on track, so when you are test running / tuning up, this way you will know where to put your ride height at and spring rates. Looking at your tune, springs look good, ride height will be adjustable track to track. And I would use a little stiffer damper setup, you don't want to be to loose online. I would go from your 9 & 5's to 8&6 in Front and 8&8 or 8&7 in back. Overall everything looks good as a whole. Just subtle tweeks, nothing major. Your tune would be to loose online and your trans would top off. But as strictly a offline tune this works well 👍 Take this idea.....tune online and then go race offline....Ha! You will devastate the Ai and put them to shame!

Thanks for the info mate on the changes that can be done, good to get feedback as for losing the ballast it keeps the car super stable. That's the only reason I've got it on but also I never see a race online for FGT's so I just keep it for offline and seasonals.
As online statistics go high HP or PP races bring the crappy drivers which is true but by locking off the Traction Control System, Anti Spin Mechanism, Skid Recovery, Damage on, tyre and fuel wear they seem to leave pretty quick :D also make it long races NO boost or slipstream they won't have a bar of it. Thank god host can kick as well to remove trouble makers, that's why I host the room cause I don't mind leaving to boot people. Rough but fair as I see it. again

I tend find quite a bit fgt rooms with no aids on, send me a FR sometime mate n we bring it on the track LOL but most of the rooms I join r clean but there is always a noob lurking somewhere LOL. Most fgt rooms r at indy that I c

I hate indy even know I was doing 1:09.5xx consistent after the tyres warmed up any way 3 or 4 laps in it starts cranking then I start to get lazy on that track just boring I prefer suzuka, nurburgring or spa also done some slight mods to the gearbox again and the LSD

tracks done and times
fuji speedway 1:15.8
indy road coarse 1:09.5
cote d'azur 1:28.2 bit more work here just won in the FGT championship
nurburgring 1:29.8
suzuka ????? still not happy with it here

Pulled 134th (1:08:862) in the seasonal FGT time trial with this setup:

Aero: 70F/90R
LSD: 15/25/35
Height: 0F/-5R
Spring: 15.5F/16.0R
Ext: 8F/8R
Com: 8F/8R
Roll: 7F/7R
Cam: -3.3F/-2.7R
Toe: -0.35F/-0.30R
Brakes: 7F/4R

Trans: 236MPH

1st: 6.658
2nd: 4.419
3rd: 3.069
4th: 2.283
5th: 1.853
6th: 1.581
7th: 1.350

Tried the tune, it does make the car a lot more stable, but I'm still finding that I'm getting snap oversteer under braking (usually in the later stages of braking). I've tried trail braking and different lines but I find that the car doesn't like it one bit.

Is there anything I can do perhaps with the brake balance to alleviate this problem, but within the 'confines' of this tune?

Try turning brake balance from 8/5 to 5/3 and lsd settings from 11/26/22 to 11/26/12 (or lower than 12 or maybe a few points higher than 12)

No problem^ Those are always some quick adjustments to prevent lock under braking. I would still brake early so your car will slow down and not over shoot the turn, because when you lower those braking settings it lowers the lock (which is key to not spinning out or drifting) but also makes for more braking due to less braking power. But will allow for nice smooth transitions throughout the corners.

I agree with ken,
I lower the LSD and the back brake down to 3-4 track depending to help fight the tendency to kick out. Also LSD has been dropped again too any way and starting to move the ballast closer to the rear to bring the weight slightly over the rear more instead of being 50/50 I've taken it back to 48-49/51-52 track depending of course to help keep the weight up on the rear in case the car jumps/bounces into a corner or out of it

new LSD 9/21/16

new Brake bias 7/4

third transmission setting for monaco (cote D'azur) still in progress Not a happy process I can tell you then moving on to monza and suzuka so it covers the formula GT championship then my new favourite track spa.

For indy TT I used Brakes 4/1 , LSD 5,5,5 , suspension slightly stiffer at rear, Similar to Sach_F1 setup above. The way you set your transmission will make a big difference in indy most of the time your in 3rd and 4th so if you can't the power down quick enough make them gears longer to reduce the amount of accel you get on exit of the corners. My Time 1'07.579 (Provisional) Rank 36

Very nice lap time! I might try your LSD settings and give it another go. :sly:

good to see guy's using the tune and changing it to suit your own driving style. It's great for extra info as well for me to tune other ways, but still keep a good balance in the car. As we all know it's a painful car to handle at the best of times and even better to see some good lap times that you guy's are posting up. thanks for the feedback

Wow dude 1:07! That's fn great! I'm in the low 1:10s ~ pretty average, not a good ranking LOL

anks, worked good for me, added 10 kg ballast at Pos 30, seemed to make the car a little more stable.

Car setup is great but not the transmission. That needs longer legs. Car feels very composed and balanced

the transmission does need more legs I know but for the compensation of pull over speed its balanced. It even accelerates in 7th gear not relying on draft to get bigger speed my 2nd set of gears is longer still a lot of pull and more speed but track depending. enjoy
