Ok, so Bob is racing on Nuerburgring in FGT championship. He got first by lap 2.

He span out of control at the last chicane. Got on the grass, but he was 10 seconds ahead of the opponents. I thought it was gonna be allright, but guess what!

HE WAITED FOR ALL 11 OPPONENTS TO PASS HIM BEFORE STARTING TO DRIVE!!! WTF!!!

Yep, fairly typical I'm afraid. Mine seems to have a mental block when it comes to lapping cars on an oval as well - he tries to pass them by repeatedly ramming their back bumper until second place comes flying past.

Mine does the same, looks like he has a problem lapping them. Hits the bumber and crashes sometimes.

Yes that is very, very annoying. My Bobs do this mostly on Cote De Azur in the Historic Cup..

I'd advise some babysitting on this race. i would decrease pace a couple of turns before the chicane and then increase afterwards, otherwise he'd overcook the chicane and spin out. Once he was in the lead and relaxed it was plain sailing

For the FGT you're going to have to pit once, so it's up to you when, if you're going to let the Bob decide he'll do it on the last couple of laps and you're flipping a coin for a podium. Buy the soft tires (the rest of the field run on hard), keep the aggression up for a nice lead. pit 1/2 to 2/3 through the race, and youll come out in front even after your pit. No problem

I ran my level 22 Bob for FGT and he had no prob, didnt have to give him any directions, but i still cant get him to beat nascar daytona race, and he is now at level 27, WTF, its very frustrating when he slams on the brakes and down shifts into 3ed on a super speed way

I only had to pit on the last race of the FGT championship, and that was for fuel. Every other race I could set pit strategy to 10% and complete the entire race without a pit stop.

Ok. Close your eyes. Imagine an F1 race. Vettel leads, but makes a mistake and spins off. He's on the grass and the whole field enters behind him with an estimated speed of 240 km/h. He gets his car straight, floors the gas pedal and rams his Red Bull in the pack of cars that is passing him.....

Get the picture? I think that's an end of career move for any pilot :boggled:

He was 10 seconds ahead though!

This has happened to me too.

10 seconds ahead are gone very fast when you're spun off on the grass and the rest is on the tarmac.

But to be honest, it has happened to me too and I would have broke Bob's neck if he would have stepped into the room directly after that move :D

True ! Sometimes Bob has some sense. Most of the time none though

Were you running on a soft compound?

I tried without pitting for the first race, no babysitting he pitted with 2 laps to go, came out in 6th or 7th behind the pack and had a very hairy end of race with me maxxing out his increase pace to get back to the front. It was fun, but for the rest of the races I used a 1/2 to 2/3 stopping scheme just in case.

On a side note, i really wish you could set the fuel before a race! I don't always want to start every race on a full tank.

Reading on some of the other forums it depends on your bobs mentality at creation if he is cool he will wait for everyone to pass to prevent a crash if he is a hot head he will just pull straight out regardless of who is coming

my bob is a pos at this particular track. he easily aced all 1st place but he seems to LOVE spinning out at the last few chicanes on this track

My Bob span at the chicane numerous times. He was way back in last position so I thought why waste time and I skipped to the next race. Lucky for me I still won the championship.
