There has been a lot of talk about Online Championships, and some have already started their own. For me, the 5 Championships held on Formula One: Championship Edition were very good.

So I'm here to continue that

This may be the worst idea and people may have no interest whatsoever, but it's worth a shot, and I especially want to get some of the old CE racers back together!

If we get enough interest, I don't see why we can't have more than one division either. This will be based on a certain system. For example:

Certain names, or randomly picked, however (the top 12) will be in division 1, and then anyone after that will be in the next division down, until again we reach 12 and another is formed. The top however many (let's say 4) are promoted, with the bottom 4 being demoted. Quite simple

One race per week, every Sunday. Settings and what not to be decided after we have some participants. Although personally, I do need Traction Control, because without a wheel, it is very difficult to control the throttle input.

I think my first pick for cars would have to be Ferrari, i'm not a huge fan of the team, but their car does look fantastic on this game, and suits my yellow helmet well

So please can people express their interest in joining this, especially those who I have raced against in CE

Well it's a shame you're not staying in the Ultimate Racing Series, but I appretiate your entuisisam and I hope it goes well. Maybe some league vs league races sometime, that could be a possibility for you and grafpt to chew over. Good luck with your championship.

Im currently not in any ongoing series but certainly am interested.
All cars being equal means I don't care what I drive.

Not sure what times you plan on starting but 9pm would be great for me.

9pm sounds like a reasonable time Spag, so i reckon it'll definitely be around that time.

Yes, we definitely need them to make an appearance. It will be great to see if the order of things has changed since CE, like the shuffle that occured in the 2009 season. I can't wait for the challenge each person brings.

Which reminds me, I haven't had much practice round Silverstone, but your time is still over 2 seconds quicker than mine LewyOs! That's quite insane lol.

I know track etiquette and race clean. Probably a mid pack runner.

Just looking forward to sone clean races. ( although everyone makes mistakes from time to time).

im in if its ok, would like the red bull but no problem if not avaliable ,i run sim settings but wouldnt have any problems with people running TC or ABS but no racing line please.
lets hope this takes off.

Boy, i'd love to be able to race with my old F1:CE friends again in a championship, but I think they might be a bit ahead of me again on pace Bu i've already been lucky enough to get into a championship already, and to be in this one, will be very unfair to others. And the others are all looking forward to having me onboard. Good luck, Kakundoo. Maybe you can get Shaggy to try and come back in. Would be interesting to see how he is against Gyles, pretty awesome championship showdown, huh?

I like the sound of this simple but effective championship idea. Mark me down as HRT. That's assuming the cars are set to standardized.

Thanks Peter I will try my best to get those two in, because they are both very fast guys that would make this Championship much more interesting for everyone. Although there might be others creeping up or better since it's a new game.

Hey guys! Great to see familiar faces (avatars and SN's) again. I'll have to see if I can do this or not but count me in for the time being please. Could I please have the Renault if the McLaren is already taken? Nice one getting this organised Jamie. I'd feel much more at home here than the official GTP organised one.

Just wondering, is there a way of limiting the assists so that maybe people can use medium TC if they want to but that you can't select any more?

Shaggy, yes the host can set the lobby to certain aids allowed or not.

Great to have you Shaggy Definitely need to work a little bit harder, knowing that you're racing, just so I can try and finish in front of you this time lol. As for setting, i'll see how I do on medium TC sometime this weekend and get back to you. I know that if everything is allowed, then the player can still choose what they want, obviously the more restrictions are in place, the fewer choices the player has. For example, if medium TC was allowed, the player could choose medium or off, not full.

Okay, Mercedes for Spagetti and Renault for Ben. Sorry MildAshers you'll need to choose a different car.

Not sure whether to sign up for this or not. Would be nice to race some old racers from CE and ones I never got the chance to race against. Kak, do you have any provisional days and/or times yet of when the races may be?

Put me down for now please Kak, that'd be great. Hopefully I will get the chance to race you guys.

As for car choice, seen as Mercedes is gone, I'll go for Williams.

Put me down for Lotus for now, unsure whether I'll be able to compete on here and in another championship I'm in aswell. All depends what time this will be running at.

Why not go for a Ferrari engined Sauber, or a Toro Rosso?

Also, you care more about entering as a specific car, than you do about entering a specific championship.

Great to have you all down. The races will definitely be on Sundays, but i'm still not sure about times. I'm thinking either 9 or 10pm GMT.

Sorry for stealing the Ferrari, on second thoughts i'm now wanting the Mercedes lol, but I can't go around switching when I want to....unless Spagetti wants the Ferrari...Lol. I'm picky, I know, but I was racing as the Mercedes earlier and realised it is an awesome car. Damn my indecisiveness.

Anyway, as for Traction control, medium is no better than having TC off in my opinion, so i'm sorry to say that it will be on :/.

I think this takes us up to a 9 (possible 10) competitors, just need another 2 to fill the spots and then the rest will fill up the 2nd division I think that's only fair, first come, first division lol.
