formula one doesn't like to turn

ok i i finished the 24 hour race at Nurburgring today and was overjoyed with my f1 car. the only thing is, it doesnt like to turn for me for anything. i can wail on the brakes before a corner, slow down to about 50-60 mph, turn the wheel all the way, and the car will just coast along into the wall/grass. if anyone knows any great settings to make this thing handle better, please help out. this car is my only shot with the formula gt.

Never had that problem, I do know they turn a little stronger when doing over 50, but for it to understear like that I havn't a clue. My Formula One is the sickest turning car I own.

i did a little bit stiffer in the front springs and its a little better. i also tried putting the front toe in, and it makes the thing crazy. i took the first set of turns on trial mountain at like 155 mph but it also makes it very prone to spinning out (i learned that the hard way in the following corner). i'll figure something out tho cuz this car is going to do the formula gt tomorrow. by the way thanks for the suggestions. 👍

where do i get the big turbo for the formula or am i stuck with it the way it comes

The stock suspension settings are good enough, you just have to make sure you are on the gas in the turn. They actually made the handling of the racecars realistic enough to where weight transfer really affects traction. Racing slicks get worse traction just coasting around a turn rather than having more weight on the outside tires from the acceleration weight transfer. You just have to practice a bit.

Don't turn the full 900 degrees you'll just make the tires front tires slide. The farthest I've ever turned was a little over 180 degrees for a turn like Grand Valley U-turn.

you're pretty much stuck with it the way it comes, you cant bring it to any mod shops. or get an oil change for that matter so im guessing that the engine never wears. but no i dont have the wheel, i meant wheel as in the the analog that truns the "steering wheel" inside the car. meaning i use the controller. but i set all the settings back to default and im just toying with them now. im trying to get close to that 5 minute lap around nurburgring without needing a racing wheel.

as steveareno said, this car reacts realistically to weight transfer. do all the braking in straight line, then get a tid-bit on throttle and roll on the throttle as you go through the corner. if you get it right, it'll understeer right where you wanted it to go in the first place (i know, bit counterintuitive)

I'm sure this has been said a hundred times but here comes 101. Not being able to change the oil is the strangest thing in the game I think. I mean it's an oil change..life blood of the car..essential to not destroying an engine. How could they possibly justify that?

Anyway back to the topic at hand...uhhhhhh...um..Good job everybody!
*dashes out the door*

Try going to set B or C or whatever and setting everything to stock.

Everything.... to stock.

Because mine is stock and it drives, turns fine... and if yours was stock too, then logically it would drive and turn fine as well assuming they're the same car.

This is the only crap-proof sure method of fixing your problem... you probably messed it up somehow without realizing it.

Yeah Blackbird it was. You do not need to change the suspension to make the F1 car turn just take off ASM like someone stated earlier in the thread.

You don't need to turn the wheel a fulll 900 degrees either I've learned all it does is loose the grip of the tires and you slide. You only need to do a full 900 degrees at say the sharp S turn at Costa Di Amalfi.
