What does everyone think of my colours I’ve added are they good enough to be added to the colour list?
Your colors are good, indeed, but I don’t think we’ll be adding them to the chart because the chart is for actual manufacturer colors. That’s also the same reason why we haven’t added the Crayola colors that @GTvsForza has been doing, because they’re not actual car paint colors. They’re more or less a custom thing that, while fun and beautiful, are not what the purpose of the chart is. I think @GTvsForza would be better off showing the Crayola colors on the custom paint thread of this forum, because here is where people want and request actual car colors. What do you think @JaCor653 because I think I’ve been pretty fair and nice about it so I want to know what you think.

They look good, I think. It's really hard to tell. For one thing, your pictures are very small. Also, the lighting in the Festival is not the best. You should go to a house and try to get the bright, sunny lighting we all hope for. There, you should take some larger, better pictures. Also, I had this thought: I've found there are two levels to replicating colors. You can just replicate colors for a livery, and you know, get them close enough that they look good. Then, you can do what we are doing here and replicate them fully accurately, with formatting and everything when sharing here. You would do well by following the format we do here, especially @MadaraxUchiha and myself:

Paint Color Name (Manufacturer)

Paint Material:
Whatever
- X Color: blah, blah, blah
- Y Color: yada, yada, yada

I know the colors you have done aren't OEM colors, and thus wouldn't necessarily have a proper manufacturer, but you could list the builder or tuning company that made the color there. I think the best thing you could do is get to a house (Bamburgh Castle is great for this, but it's expensive), try to get good lighting, and make your work look more professional.

No problem thanks for the advice I had put the name of the Garage/builder I do have bamburgh castle but the weather wasn’t with me although I might have to find the custom paint feed
You're welcome :) However, I will say that you're always welcome to request OEM colors or colors that you know the name of from us and we'll gladly recreate it :) I mean, we have colors on the chart from wrap makers like Avery and 3M so if you were looking for colors like those we could do that.

Here is the link to the Paints and Designs thread. It doesn't see much activity; I post liveries there occasionally. Maybe your work and the work of @GTvsForza could help liven the place up? Probably not, but who knows.

I don't know why that always happens. I should be able to insert a link and it should work. Anyway, it's another thread in the Forza Horizon 4 section of the forums here on GTPlanet. It's called "Forza Horizon 4: Paints and Designs."

Could I get the red from the Ford GT40? I have it but think the metallic looking red in Forza looks weird on it, not accurate (An old race car would not have such a color, right?)

latest

I have found using two tone polished works better on forza with some paint colours
I feel the best use of two-tone paint on Forza is for paint jobs that have a chameleon type paint like the TVR cars. For the most part, most paints are accurately replicated using the metal flake option.

I use two-tone for my Crayola colors because I want to keep the matte look. Plus, Metal Flake is one of my weak spots when recreating real paints...

I redid some BMW colors and have new ones to share as well :) Enjoy :)

@JaCor653 So I don't know if it was you or @Mitcho2001 that did them, but I redid a few of the BMW colors that were listed as 'two-tone polished' because in reality all of those paints are metal flake paints. They even have 'Metallic' in their names as well.

That sounds like something @Mitcho2001 did.
Either way, they're all done and accurate now :) As a future note, 99% of cars don't use two-tone polished paint jobs. They're all mostly metal flake or gloss, or the odd matte ones we've seen. As I said before, cars that do a chameleon paint job like TVR are the only ones that use a two-tone polished paint :)

Has anyone done Almandine purple by Mercedes it was a limited edition

I did it a long time ago for someone else that requested it and it’s already on the chart :)

Please make sure to check the chart or search the forum before making requests :)

I did it on May 10th for @DEMONATOR4556 and the color is actually called ‘Almandine Black Metallic’ :)

i have also tried to find a paint called Velvet Red it's a Mini colour from 2002-07 i believe on the list but no joy amazing if you could help, i hope this photo is clear enough

im trying to recreate a the #2 Heritage Edition car. but i need help with the gold rims on it...
2017-ford-gt-heritage-edition-750x375.jpg

I did some extra searching for the exact colors for the car and found out the color is shadow black (matte), stripes were silver, number 2 circles were frozen white and rims were aluminum gold satin. hope that helps if any1 willing to help me out here...

i did search the spreadsheet for shadow black and it listed 2 of them standard, and two tone polish. both look off to the matte finish on the ford gt heritage edition.

If shadow black already on the ford gt in fh4 then just help me find the right color for the rims plz...

I forgot to remove it a long time ago :( So it’s a good thing that you did. I will say this, though, looking at more recent pics of the color, it isn’t a two-tone polished paint job, it’s a metal flake. It’s full name is ‘Mamba Green Metallic’ also and here are recent pics I found of it on a Taycan:

I redid that color for myself and uploaded it here so i feel like i have to say that in an attempt to make the colors as accurate as possible i had to sacrifice the flake.. Cheers

No, you can make the color accurate by using the flake, considering that in reality it is a metallic paint job with a metal flake. It just takes a few tries until it gets replicated perfectly. The first reference picture I used didn’t show the flake as well as the ones I shared recently, so I could attempt to redo the color myself with these new reference pictures.

Edit: I’ll do the color shortly, with metal flake, and upload it.

Edit 2: Here it is, accurate and how it's supposed to look with a metal flake paint job :) Enjoy :) I also updated the chart to reflect the changes.

@MadaraxUchiha, these are both colors that I did in my traffic car color project several months ago. I know you said you were checking BMW colors for accuracy, so were these off? If so, I thought we agreed to explain ourselves and why we felt the colors needed to be redone. Once I mentioned the Synergy Green incident, you said you would make an explanation if anything like that came up again. With these colors, you haven't. If they were genuinely inaccurate, then I guess I'm okay with it, but I don't feel like my versions were off. Again, I know you were just going through the BMW colors to find ones that were wrong, but I'm wondering if my two were wrong.

Could I get the red from the Ford GT40? I have it but think the metallic looking red in Forza looks weird on it, not accurate (An old race car would not have such a color, right?)

This is the closest real color I could find compared to your reference image. All of the GT40 MkI colors in Gran Turismo are fictional. If you wanted to do a version of the color yourself that matches GT's Red, you would upload that image to http://chris-hill.co.uk/forzacolour.php and click somewhere on the door. That is where the color is brightest; that would get you the closest match.
