I'm most happy about the Flying Spur, and then the M5 CS - glad to have modern versions of both of them (and having the Conti GTC paid DLC makes no difference to that thought).

Honestly I can live with this. The fact that we get six weeks of the Stunt Arena, effectively, is awesome enough, but the German luxury cars and the Nismo RZ34 are worthy additions all on their own.

What puzzles me is the C10 Slayer; yeah we were told earlier thanks to the Barrett Jackson auction that it'd be in the game soon, but... it's the only car in the January update for some reason? Is that our final car update?

I would be surprised if it is frankly, there are at least a dozen new-to-Forza cars that have been started since the Fast X pack and not yet released, and at most three of this update's cars would count towards that (the rest are older, and some of the other three could easily be too).

I think six new-to-Forza cars in this year's Xmas update is even better than three last year - yeah there were a fistful of ports on top, but at least this year there'll be a chance to catch up on cars people missed previously.

Brilliant update 😃 I can honestly say there isn't a single car in the lineup that I'm not excited for. Perhaps the best single update ever (IMO, of course)
I'm actually of a similar mind, though I wouldn't call it the best update. I think the emphasis on Super Saloons is welcome, and the M5 Competition Sport and Flying Spur are well-welcomed. But the core of the update is returning Evolving World stuff (of admittedly pretty strong quality) and a Showcase Remix, plus our effective Christmas gift car is a more powerful version of the RZ34 we got in Japanese Automotive rather than anything more exciting--not to mention January is just bringing one car. It's definitely better than the last few updates, not counting Horizon Track Day, but it doesn't really reach the current update's heights for me.

I love these two:

2006 Mercedes-Benz E 55 AMG Wagon
2014 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon
TWO Wagons??

Lovers of long roofs, rejoice!

Hard confirmation from the forums, Horizon Extreme is mostly Hard-to-Finds, the linking theme seemingly being highly tuned Extreme Track Toys. Kinda wish they'd brought at least the Bolide, but what can you do?

EDIT: Also, it looks like you'll be required to own the RZ34 Nismo for the first Weekly Challenge. Sounds like they're handling that whole 'you need a FOMO car to complete the Playlist' thing better than, well, the Ford Wagon being required for Seasonal PR Stunts in Donut Media Part One.

Yikes, for an update called Horizon Extreme the content sure is soft as hell.

Was it really that hard to bring back the IDR, the Bowler and the Iron Knight or something?

The December update looks good though, just shame there’s no highly requested Santa gift.

And I wonder how many proper updates we have left until the plug is pulled…

Oh, hey, we're finally getting the Lincoln Continen-
I mean the Lincoln Flying-

Bentley Flying Spur. Very nice.

All these images of the IH Scout in this update right on the heels of VW's public debut of the new Scout EVs is a mighty curious coincidence.

The horizon Xtreme is a big disappointment but so has every season after the Christmas update hopefully it will pick back up with the muscle update 43

Plus you have to consider that if FH6 were to be revealed next year, they'll face stiff competition with GTA 6 and Tokyo Xtreme Racer.
I wouldn't let either of those titles worry the team. GTA 6 is going to decimate every one. Forza/racing fans will more than likely still be grabbing FH6 alongside it.

TXR is on the opposite end (unfortunately, as a fan). Its premise is very different & will come across very "bare bones" to the Horizon formula/roster. It's also not a very big title, so its main fans are folks who are already well aware of it, or are deep into the wangan racing & import scene.

  • 2024 Nissan Z NISMO
  • 2021 Bentley Flying Spur
  • 2006 Mercedes-Benz E 55 AMG Wagon
  • 2022 BMW M5 CS
  • 2014 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon
  • 1965 DeBerti Chevrolet C10 ‘Slayer’ (jan)
That's a solid lineup!

See, I'm actually not interested in any of the non-car related features. Whenever these updates pop up, I'm purely just looking with anticipation what the vehicle lineup will be like.
And I love what I see for December 😍

Another great update. I wasn't expecting the wagons at all. I wonder if they are bringing back the rotating Forzathon shop deals as well? I feel like they would have mentioned that though.

Holiday Mix-Up looks very nice, 5 New to Forza cars, 2 Wagons and the Nismo with a Liberty Walk kit? Not bad.

Horizon Extreme looks dreadful though, only 1 car is disappointing. Will probably barely touch the game during that Series. Would have been a great chance to bring back some FH4 cars but maybe they ran out of time, either way it's a bit of a shame.

Midnight Muscle has a chance to be a decent update, the Start Screen Selector sounds cool and maybe a chance for PG to add a couple more perhaps?

This could easily be the series where we get the Mustangs from the Forza Motorsport update ported to Horizon;

1995 Ford SVT Cobra R
1970 Ford #15 Mustang Boss 302 Trans Am
2024 Formula Drift #25 Ford Mustang RTR
2024 Formula Drift #88 Ford Mustang RTR
2024 Formula Drift #130 Ford Mustang RTR
2018 Saleen S302 Black Label

If not, there's plenty of muscle cars deserving of a spot in FH5

New to Forza:
2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat "Redeye" Widebody
1989 Ford Thunderbird SC
2022 Hennessey Mustang GT500 "Venom 1200"
1998 Lincoln MKVIII
1988 Lincoln MKVII

From Previous Games:
1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible
1990 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport 396
1972 Chrysler VH Valiant Charger R/T E49
1978 Ford Mustang II King Cobra
1957 Ford Thunderbird
1952 Hudson Hornet
1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator
1949 Mercury Coupe
2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Ram Air
1985 Pontiac Fiero GT
2012 Shelby 1000
