Reading into the Pike Factory stuff since, yeah, two of those four haven't been seen in video games before. Honestly, I am genuinely shocked Horizon got the Pike catalog before even Gran Turismo 7, this stuff just reads like something Yamauchi would have been all over when picking cars.

EDIT: Also, doin' a little mental math here--US players had 891 cars before, so tack on the eight from Horizon Realms and the new Car Pack, we're ending on 899 cars. That is absolutely nothing to sneeze at!

Well there we go, 894/894. Another Forza title checked off with the maximum amount of unique cars owned.

Looking back on the FH5 years, I really liked the game and the map when it was just released, but the chore sure kicked in not so long after release. Both Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure couldn't really change that feeling, they were NOWHERE near close to the awesomeness of the Hot Wheels and Blizzard Mountain expansions for FH3.

The FH formula sure hasn't changed much since FH3 (especially if you don't care much about Event Lab) so I wonder if FH6 will bring anything new to the table. Looking at what Ivory Tower did with the Maui expansion for The Crew Motorfest (read: an actual MAIN MAP expansion) I honestly think this is a MUST for FH6 as well in the future.

Either way, FH5 coming to PS5 sure is a good thing. Even if it's just for making sure Ivory Tower has some competition on PS5/PS6 as well. ;)

With 4 more accolade cars and 4 from that Nissan Retro Rides Car Pack I will be at exactly 900 cars then! 😅😇

Edit - I suck at math, that’s 902 cars then 🤣🤣🤣

Okay, what. The Revuelto I called, but they're saving the Sterrato for this?! Okay that makes sense.

Also, NEW CAR PACK, celebrating Nissan's automotive history with three cars never seen in video games to my knowledge. Ho damn.

I am very happy that I've been proven wrong about this!

My mini-prediction is that one of the Lambos is going to have a widebody option, I'm leaning towards it being the Revuelto with the Sterrato having tyre size increases instead. I don't think the Nissans will, but maybe I'll be wrong again.

Minor nitpick, the Pike cars aren’t Kei cars; they’re all K10 March/Micra based which are slightly bigger than Kei regs. Very excited to see those, I have a weird soft spot for all them all. Here’s hoping we see a March Super Turbo in the next game!
I can't believe we're getting all four Pike cars. If anyone doesn't know what they are, this is them: top left is the Figaro, top right is the Pao, bottom left is the Be-1, and bottom right is the S-Cargo.

That's not true, there's actually a game that has ALL the Pike cars: Drift Spirits for mobile devices by Namco!

The funniest thing? These are some of the most used cars in this game. Unironically.

Apparently the 'Pike factory' itself didn't exist, that was just the marketing term they used for the four cars that initiative produced. Two, the Figaro and the Pau, were produced out of Oppama, where Nissan's central research division resides, and the Be-1 underwent assembly in Tosuka.

I wonder if we'll get an S2000 engine swap for the Figaro to replicate the trackday car that was famously wrecked a few years ago while attempting to set the Figaro lap record at all of the major Japanese circuits. Probably just a Type R and Fiesta WRC swap though I suspect.

French readers might be a little confused as they think an S-Cargo should look like this... ;)
🐌

That's the deliberate pun yep, along with the 2CV (tin snail) headlights and curved roof. The Pao is more of a Renault 4, but didn't get a similarly fun name.

Early summary and assessment video.
I agree that linking unlocks to Skill Score in the Realms seems a bit err unimaginative? and doesn't really seem to add a lot of long term playability.

EDIT: How many push notices can we get @Edax 76 in one evening

I think that's a mistake. There are going to be 5 new accolades per realm location (12 locations) and the 4 new cars will be unlocked by completing specific accolades. The skill score mode is unlikely to be the way to unlock them, but we simply don't know yet.

My take is... well, Horizon Realms is just a way to instance each set piece for a convoy or a single player. Assuming Series like Lunar New Year, Cars and Coffee, or Summer Party don't come up in Playlist voting, PS5 folks won't actually get to experience them live, while they're relevant. This was a magic you can't replicate, pulling up to a new set piece for the first time and seeing people from your Horizon Life lobby actually using them. As it is they'll just be museums of Horizon Mexico's entire history, which isn't a bad thing but it does mean they won't be part of the open world unless people vote in the Series they were a part of... which is unlikely in the case of Lunar New Year 'cause that means subjecting Certain Folks to Chinese cars so they might not ever come up.

Lost magic is really my concern but it'll be really nice reinstalling just to see them all again. I can actually objectively analyze all of them in one place, wouldn't that be nice!

If anything, the last update will be a great placeholder until the next FH launches, because there is no way I can fit both games in storage, whether on the Xbox or the PC!

I completed the playlist championship for Rally Adventure once and Hot Wheels Park twice but I didn’t get the playlist points. Happen to anyone else?
It’s a known issue and the PG representative on the Forza Horizon Reddit has said it’s been worked on to be fixed.

Edit: I should mention that the Huracan STO is still achievable this week despite this issue.

Now the treasure chest says it has already been collected so I can’t get those points either. I tried the Trial and we won the first race but lost the second and the championship ended with our victory despite not winning. And I didn’t get those points either. So far only the thing that works are the PR stunts. Thanks PG for wrecking almost the entire playlist!
