Another early stream, using the returning Evolving World side of things huh? That's... not exactly a great sign for the cars.

EDIT: Oh! Bit of a meme thought but what if the reason for the Friday stream is that they're adding a second Test Track start location near the Stadium? They've been dropping new features left and right these last couple updates. Wonder if they're expanding on the Test Track next?

Looking forward to this on the weekend and seeing what we are facing for the next month. The track day thing could mean a number of things. Road cars that are popular for track days or even track focussed road cars or even track only cars. I fired up Forza Motorsport earlier and whilst waiting for it to load I saw the Cadillac LMdh and thought wouldnt that be cool to drive around Mexico?

I think my final prediction will be mostly unchanged, except for one car I hit upon when I was out at a dealership today. Mostly safe picks, except for the FL5 and Sterrato--nothing really earth-shattering.

The Track Day Vibe
Series Reward: 2023 Honda Civic Type R (FL5) OR 2022 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato (if a Series Reward is in the cards; depending on which is chosen, one of these will be the headline car.)
Summer: 2020s Saleen S302 Black Label (This ties into FM2023's Mustang Month, and is effectively the first tuned Mustang Saleen will get in FH5. A decent choice, if ever there would be one, even if it's yet another Mustang.)
Autumn: 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) (Headline car. If we don't get this somewhere I'll be surprised, but it does come off as the sorta car Motorsport would get first.)
Winter: BMW M5 Competition OR 2019 McLaren Senna GTR (This and Spring are toss-ups for me because it'll depend on what kind of track day PG is thinking of. If they're thinking of specifically the Track Day Vibe, then it'll be the M5 Competition. If it's more of a Track Toys update then the Senna GTR, a New-to-Horizon pick.
Spring: 2022 Hyundai Elantra N OR 2023 Subaru Impreza RS (I'll err on the side of Impreza for this one because this update sounds like it could use at least one versatile/leaning off-road car, but the Elantra N would be a very good pick if we wanted to finally get the Elantra TCR's street car variant--it's the only TCR in FH5 without one.)

As for why the Friday stream... I think there's three possibilities outside of 'this is just the new normal'. One is the possibility that the Horizon Test Track is either getting some kind of '2.0' update or is getting a new start location, probably at the oval track. The second involves them using the extra time to discuss the Holiday Update we'd be getting right after this and what it'll entail, assuming they go on that far, and the final, longshot theory I have is that this is where they start the process of sunsetting FH5--or even reveal this is the final update, though I don't know how much of a warning FH4 had before Series 37 dropped and ended the live service. Anyone willing to fill me in on that?

How about one of the 2024 Formula Drifts that just got into Motorsport? I could see that in there too.

Could see that in a Car Pack, had those not dried up. I bet those will probably be in FH6 at launch, like they were for FH5, as pre-order bonuses.
Hopefully not, because that is likely the better option than locking them in the Playlist to an extent. But I do want to see some return investment with the car packs themselves over a battle pass that many games have nowadays.

I mean, yeah, this is also the same game that did an entire Playlist themed around Extreme E rather than releasing its cars in a car pack, so having Formula Drift cars in the Playlist wouldn't be out of the ordinary. But I have a feelin' they'd much rather release those all together rather than separately--whether that's in FH6 or in a Car Pack is up in the air, is all.

Okay, so here are my delulu guesses for the update, because delulu is the solulu:

Series reward: 992 GT3 RS (this one is the most obvious one)

Summer: Daytona SP3 or 812 Comp (it’s about damn time for either of them)
Autumn: FL5 Civic Type R or 8Y RS3 (fastest compacts around the ring)
Winter: RSQ8 or Cayenne Turbo GT (fastest SUVs around the ring)
Spring: Gen 1 R8 GT or Gen 2 R8 GT (there has to be an R8 of sorts for me)

And ideally there will be a car pack, maybe of luxury GT cars as a counter act.

I'm equally excited about the new Eventlab-Props. At the end of the last stream, they said there will be a big amount of new props - maybe more track parts or something along these lines

You are forgetting electric cars. I think the chances are high we will get one somewhere...
Oh yeah, EV content we are very overdue for. I think it'll probably just be an EV or two (probably one of the EV Super Saloons) in the Hard-to-Finds somewhere, but they could always include some EV marketing absolutely loves for some reason. :P
