Hello fellow Forza Motorsport 3 owners and welcome to the interest thread/challenge for the proposed ForzaPlanet Weekly Race Series. If enough interest is generated I will be willing to run this Weekly Race Series for Forza fans.
If you are familiar with the GT WRS higher up in the forum then you will understand the basic principal, if not here is a run down of what this is about:
- This competition/series does not require xbox live gold.
- Every week I post a car/track combination for you, the drivers, to drive on and attempt to get the best lap time during the course of the week.
- Each week the race thread will be where dicussion for that race is posted, you will be allowed to discuss your split times NOT your lap times and you will also be allowed to discuss any other aspects of the race, including tuning and setups if applicable to the race.
- Once you have achieved your best time, you PM myself stating your lap time and, if applicable, the car used. The final leaderboard will be posted on either the Monday or the Tuesday of said week with the races being posted/started on the Sunday.
- Race rules are very simple, anything that would give you an exclamation mark next to your lap time in the game, will not be counted, thanks to the exclamation mark it is very easy to seperate clean and dirty laps. 2 wheels must be on track at all times unless of course you get marked. If you bump a wall and do not get marked, your lap time is valid.
- Verification, is also simple. Everyone should save the replay of their fastest run, or the session containing their fastest run. If you are requested to prove your lap time, or if you would like someone to verify the laps legality, you may be asked to upload your replay to the storefront for the verifier which will be myself or another nominated party to verify the time. If you are unable to do this a photo of the time will be required. This will be kept to a minimum initially based on the proviso that a checkmarked lap is not valid.
