Found a Gameshark, But how do I use it?

I found a Gameshark in my brother's room, along with a memory card look alike with a shark on it. I want to use it with Gran Turismo 4, but I Don't know How. Can you even use it with GT4. The GS seems to be an older version. It says, Gameshark 2 Ver. 2 for Playstation 2. Can I use it with GT4? If so, where do I get the codes and what are the steps to take in order for the codes to work.

I noticed that GT4 loads only from memory slot 1. How does that GS work. I really need to know step by step in order for the codes to be active. Please help me out. Any info is appreciated.

There shouldn't be a problem with the old style PS2's. They supposedly don't work on the slimlines, but I have used the UK equivalent (Action Replay 2 V2) on one successfully. Here are the most useful codes:

You do get the cars for the Golds. The track code just advances the days.

To use it you plug the GS "Memory Card" into slot 2 and start the PS2 with the GS disk in it. A menu should come up one option will allow you to get to Cheat Codes, where you will be able to enter some GT4 codes. Just enter the codes with the titles: (M) or whatever... as prompted.

you go to gameshark.com and add the codes of any game you want... Its simple as 1 2 3...
