FRS Point System:

We have compiled a point system for the FRS organized by division:
Below are some key points on how it works:
  • Divisional Points are as follows:
    1st Place - 8 points
    2nd Place - 7 points
    3rd Place - 6 points
    4th Place - 5 points
    5th Place - 4 points
    Participation - 2 points
  • You get 1 point just for submitting the qualifier run and 2 points just for submitting a time for that week. The better you place for that week, the more points you will receive.
  • Your points will get reset back get 5 points total for being promoted to a higher division.
  • The points will reset every 4 months, completing a 'season'.
  • Once a season ends, the point system will reset back to week 1 using the following week's FRS combo.

Submitting And Verifying A Requested Replay:

If a request is made for you to supply a replay, look in the results thread for a "(Replay Required)" to appear next to your name and submitted time. You may also get a PM if a replay hasn't been promptly provided.

Many hands make little work and if you can assist the Race Stewards in verifying each others lap times, it won't go unappreciated. Follow The Guide To Managing FM4 Replays to verify another drivers submitted time.

Remember to mark whether the replay was valid or not in the results thread:
user118395pic1573412914.gif
- Clean/Valid Lap
rflagnv1.gif
- Dirty/Invalid Lap
bflagtp3.gif
- DQ'd Lap (only used in the results thread by the Race Stewards)

The code to insert a flag is. Remember to wrap them in an Image Tag;

Thanks to all who participated. 👍

FP OLR Admin Team

I think the original WRS over at GTP garnered this many participants, if not slightly more. We'll be good I think, maybe advertise this over a GTPlanet at Jordan's discretion if T12 wants to.

Well done Vic for staying so close, I would have been 0.2 behind you if I didn't get a short session in yesterday. Well done Faustulus for your win in D2 and well done bleurabbbit for being the fastest (and only) Viper. D3 must be taking an early holiday or something.

I will upload my replay tonight when I get home from work.

I think we are doing a lot of what we can to get more racers. It would really like to find people willing to participate in the competition. For me with the WRS in GT, I never participated because I was too lazy to read all the rules to full understand them. I figured I could start fresh here.

We know the Forza community as a whole is not small, but our community here at Forza Planet IS small when compared. This isnt a bad thing because I wouldn't frequent the forum if it was anything like the official Forza thread. However, we do need to find some way to garner more following for our event.

Congrats guys! and nice times...I totally forgot that I didn't submit my time for this week lol. Darn I would've placed well too! Oh well hopefully I remember next week :P

Looks like the Z06 was the out and out winner, only one Viper entry. 2:18 times are very impressive guys, good job. Hopefully we will see more participants in the future, until then, keep it going!

Amazing times guys. Faustulus, you are dominating the 2nd division. Well done. 👍

I can't believe I was the only Viper entry. I was faster in the Viper. The Z06 lagged behind by better than a second for me.

I'm still leading by a point :D but I am going to have to get my act together because Faustulus is quick

Wow, I wasn't expecting an onslaught of 'Vettes

The Corvette will move on to Round 2, thanks guys!

is there any chance we can no who entered clean times and who didn't.

Those marked with the * by their name are randomly chosen to provide a replay. You can ask for someone's replay, but if they don't have an * they aren't required to upload a replay.

I think hennessey is wanting to see who is submitting their fastest laps clean or dirty (by FM4 standards, not ours, if I understand him correctly) on the different tracks.... don't believe it is possible to discover this, unless we add it to the submission form and trust that people will answer truthfully.

Or we could watch every single replay which.... no :P

Doh! :banghead:

Had a time and totally forgot to submit it. I had shaved 2 seconds off and was in the middle of division 2 times. Oh well, on to the new week.

You mean on the news page? That wouldn't turn out all too well with all of the bitc—well you've seen the comments there. Utter tripe. We'll get more participants so long as I keep up with advertising the combos every week.

On GT planet every time has to be verified if I remember correctly, we would only have to watch one replay each to check if it was clean or not. I have brought this up before I know, but I just think to much of the track an be cut and I don't think its fair. Forza has a very good system in place to verify clean and dirty laps so I think we should use it.

Great win I was thinking I had you but got home after work and saw your time on the leader board and I try last night but could not catch you well done

All of the times I have submitted so far are clean by F4 standards. It is the only way I can keep track of them. If I try and get too cute, I usually wreck that lap and probably dirty the next one as well. It isn't the fastest way, I suppose compared to some. All of the times for events we have done so far are my best on the leaderboards for that particular class and track.

Excellent, thanks

Even though I really agree with you in theory, I've yet to see a place where our rules create any actual advantage. Believe me I tried to use the massive white curbs on Road America this week, especially exiting turn 12..... back end went straight around every time and the lap was over.

Maybe Jerome will chime in on this, but I think he feels the same way.

When reviewing replays, I noted that the "dirty lap" indicator doesn't show up next to the time (like it does during a normal lap). Am I just missing it?

If not, then how would we verify laps if the "Forza Standard" was applied, other than looking at the leaderboard? (which wouldn't work if the person had posted a faster time with another car of the same class at the same track)

Even though the rules here are more lenient, at least they are simple, consistent, and can be checked visually on a replay.

Jerome

It has more horsepower and it weighs 200 lbs less, it takes a bit more skill to drive it seems, but it should be faster.

As for clean laps, I never submit a lap that isn't clean by Forza standards because I am too lazy to figure out if it meets the FRS criteria, I figure if it is good enough for Forza then I am OK here. Just makes it easier on me.

Also, curse you Hennessey, I feel like I am caught in one of Zeno's paradoxes (the one with Achilles and the tortoise) :) and now we come to Le Mans, a track that I never do my best at.

Thanks Vic, you've improved a lot since the earlier stages of this series. I'm really struggling to match your times now and most weeks I just get lucky with one lap where I manage to string together most corners.

I only submit my laps which are clean to Forza's standards because otherwise it's hard to keep track on my lap times. I usually run a session without looking at the time too often and at the end see if my best beats my previous best. If I mess up a lap I will usually slow right down and then either warm up or cool the tyres for a good start on the next one.

Well rats. Appears I missed the deadline or posting a time. It was embarrassingly slow but I have no ego left to bruise. I was wondering why the Cobra/Sebring combo was up.

Cheers,

Rsuty
