Submission And Participation:

When you have verified your lap is clean and the best you can do, visit http://frs.atspace.co.uk/submit.
Fill out each field and click Submit at the bottom to complete the process.

This week's time needs to be submitted before May 29th by 11:59PM Pacific Standard Time. This is GMT -8 or -7 depending on daylight savings time.

If you encounter any issues with the submission form or process, please send a PM to Terronium-12 or Jump_Ace.

Feel free to post your best times in this thread. You can compare how you stack up with other participants throughout the week by visiting the FRS Weekly Splits Leaderboard (which can be found here: http://frs.forzaplanet.net). Also note the following:

  • You can submit only ONCE (be sure to give it your best effort)
  • Please give it your best effort as sandbagging is highly frowned upon in the Forza Planet community.

Please refer to this Time Calculator Website to properly add multiple times together (when necessary) before submitting your time.

This is a friendly competition open to drivers of all abilities, so start racing and we'll see you in the results :) 👍

FRS Point System:

We have compiled a point system for the FRS organized by division:
Below are some key points on how it works:
  • Divisional Points are as follows:
    1st Place - 8 points
    2nd Place - 7 points
    3rd Place - 6 points
    4th Place - 5 points
    5th Place - 4 points
    Participation - 2 points
  • You get 1 point just for submitting the qualifier run and 2 points just for submitting a time for that week. The better you place for that week, the more points you will receive.
  • Your points will get reset back get 5 points total for being promoted to a higher division.
  • The points will reset every 4 months, completing a 'season'.
  • Once a season ends, the point system will reset back to week 1 using the following week's FRS combo.

Time Verification:

SPECIAL NOTE: When running your qualifier time. Please restart your session every 15 or sooner (10 to 12 laps depending on the track). FM4 will stop recording your replay after (roughly) 15 minutes. Thus, if you run your best lap after it stops recording, it won't count as you can't provide the replay.

Save your replay and keep it at least 6 weeks after submission:

  • Top 1-3 fastest times from each division will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide a replay within 3 days
  • Failure to do so will result in the submitted time being ignored for official registration
  • Video replays are not accepted (i.e. using camera phone, camcorders, etc.)

Submitting And Verifying A Requested Replay:

If a request is made for you to supply a replay, look in the results thread for a "(Replay Required)" to appear next to your name and submitted time. You may also get a PM if a replay hasn't been promptly provided.

Many hands make little work and if you can assist the Race Stewards in verifying each others lap times, it won't go unappreciated. Follow The Guide To Managing FM4 Replays to verify another drivers submitted time.

Remember to mark whether the replay was valid or not in the results thread:

- Clean/Valid Lap
rflagnv1.gif
- Dirty/Invalid Lap
bflagtp3.gif
- DQ'd Lap (only used in the results thread by the Race Stewards)

The code to insert a flag is. Remember to wrap them in an Image Tag;

Race Stewards Comments:

This is stage 2 of a regional elimination, best in class (Class A) tournament.

The car that gets the most submissions for the week (F430 or 911 GT3), wins this round. Then that car advances to round 2 to face the winner from the American regional champion (2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06). That round will happen in the next couple weeks.

You can choose to drive the that is car is faster (in your opinion) to build up your FRS Series Points, or you can drive car that is the most fun that you would love to get behind the wheel again in later stages.

Feel free to share which car you will be submitting for your time, if you want. ;)

Pick your poison and Good Luck!

Here is an overview for the Best In Class (Class A) Tournament:

USA:
'Vette vs. Viper - Vette Won!

Europe:
F430 vs. 911 GT3

Japan:
Car A vs Car B

Wild Card Car:
Car A vs Car B

Then we do elimination -

USA vs Europe

Japan vs Wild Card Car

USA/Europe Champ Vs Japan/Wild Car Champ - To Crown Our Class A Best In Class Car

More information about the Wild Car will come in the next few weeks 👍

Remember to keep at least two tires on the rumble strip and/or within the white lines on the tarmac. Taking a turn too fast that causes you to go into a run-off, dirt, sand, etc. will invalidate your lap.

Because the FRS is a new series, here is a quick run-down of what you need to do to participate:

  1. Run the Registry Qualifier if you haven't yet, which can be found HERE.
  2. Now load up this week's FRS Car and Track Combo. Drive your best, clean lap(s). Post your results in this thread as you progress throughout the week.
  3. Compare your splits with other participants by visiting the FRS Weekly Splits Leaderboard
  4. When you've done your best, submit your time before the above deadline using FRS Submission Form found HERE.
NOTE - Regarding week's submission form, please leave the Division section blank.

If you have any questions, please post them in the Registry Discussion Thread.

Good luck. 👍

Just a quick note, I'm pretty sure there is a typo for this car. In the new car lot it will say it's a 911 GT3, however in the game when racing in hot lap mode, it says it's a 997 GT3.

Well I am happy to report that the 2007 - PI 592 - 911 GT2 RS is very, very fast... After 15 laps, I have a 1:03.804 clean, and I got a 1:03 flat on a dirty lap...

What's that you say? The OTHER 2007 A-class Porsche??? 🤬 I ran the wrong car? :banghead:

Better luck next time...

Disaster averted!!! 1:03.595 clean in the RIGHT Porsche. I bet somebody breaks a minute this week...

I know what I'll be using this week. I won't be getting the Porsche pack until next weekend.

Is this correct, we have until tuesday night?

May 29th by 11:59PM Pacific Standard Time.

Welp I went to save my replay and it's saying "Your save file is corrupt. Please delete it from the Xbox Dashboard and create a new one." I have no clue what that means if I'm honest. I went into career mode to see any saved replays and it gives the same message. Any suggestions?

Stay with us Beermachine! We really need to keep good competition.

SAAPP6, you might need to go into your xbox dashboard and delete your replay save file. Make sure not to delete your save game file. I once had the corrupt file message for my tunes and had to delete corrupt files the same way.

I am considering the Ferrari as well and I HAVE the Porsche Pack. I just love that car.

997 is the chassis code. :P

Show off.

That's right. However, I'd be willing to extend it another day if there is enough interest to do so. If you guys want another day on this week's combo, lemme hear it :)

I ran into this problem earlier too and there is a file you are supposed to delete any/all corrupted files (IIRC they actually say corrupted file).

I'm quoting czuczors from the Xbox.com Forum here:

Go into system settings, choose games, find Forza4, and there should be a list of all game related content. Find the file with a caution/yellow exclamation point in the file, delete that particular file and you should be good to go.

Which car will I choose, my favourite Ferrari or a Porsche? This will be a tough decision but I'll have to see which is nicer to drive. I don't think I've driven this track in a long time so I might struggle to find my lines.

I ran a bunch last night.

Got down to 1:04.573 with the Porsche

Then tried the Ferrari and took forever to get a clean lap. I felt I was faster in the F430 but just couldn't keep it clean. Then finally got a 1:03.451.

After this I lost all rhythm and couldn't stay close to either time in either car. I even tried the GT3 RS to see the difference.

Maybe it would have been better to do an Italian and German head to head instead of just all of Europe.

/\ IIRC, the problem with that is there aren't any high end stock A clas BMW's or Mercedes'.

Jerome

^ Isn't there a high A class Audi R8? Or is this RWD only?

I bet somebody breaks a minute this week...

I doubt that will happen, it would put them in the top 155 of the leaderboard which with no upgrades or tuning would be ridiculously fast.

1:02.439 from me on my first run, still figuring out the best way through the chicanes. Using the Ferrari because I don't like the Porsche's looks as much.

It's amazing the difference changing a gear makes on the handling going through the corners. 💡
Switched from 3rd to 2nd in the Porsche and the under-steer I was fighting before went away.

I tried the Ferrari, but got mixed up in the extra shifting... I really liked how the Porsche stayed right in second and third the whole time. Getting into fourth on the back stretch in the Ferrari just caused me problems.

Time submitted, now on business travel for the next week. Good luck, everyone!

Leaderboard updated.

I broke the 1:03 barrier. I feel I can still cut another .200-.300 more.

Shame I don't have the Porsche pack yet to test the 911 GT3.

So far I have spent more time in the Porsche this week when I thought it would be the opposite. The Ferrari is indeed faster in the top end but I really like the way the GT3 drives.

I will probably give the Ferrari another shot but I am really trying to push the Porsche as much as a I can.

Took a quick testdrive with both cars, liked driving Porsche much more than Maranellos miracle.

Managed 1:01.951 with Porsche and 1:01.997 with Ferrari, lots of driving errors although so hopefully have some time to do more laps.
