548 PI Class A 100% Stock 1995 Ferrari F355 Challenge

In-Game Difficulty Options:

  • Braking (ABS): Optional
  • Steering: Optional
  • Stability Control: Optional
  • Traction Control: Optional
  • Shifting: Optional
  • Suggested Line: Optional
  • Rewind: OFF

Standard clean OLR rules apply:

  • All Hard Surfaces are track. This includes rumble strips, concrete, cobbles, etc
  • If your lap gets flagged with the Forza Invalidation Indicator: /!\ Your lap may still count as long as it fits the rest of the listed criteria (i.e. two tires were on/above the track when the /!\ indicator came up)
  • However, if you get the Forza Invalidation Indicator: /!\ at the start of your lap, the lap will not count as you may have gained an unfair advantage at the end of the previous lap
  • Rewind MUST be set to OFF
  • 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible

  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the game
  • Anything we haven’t thought of that could be construed as cheating
  • Save your replay and keep it safe for at least 6 weeks after the deadline

Submission And Participation:

When you have verified your lap is clean and the best you can do, visit http://frs.atspace.co.uk/submit.
Fill out each field and click Submit at the bottom to complete the process.

This week's time needs to be submitted before April 9th by 11:59PM Pacific Standard Time. This is GMT -8 or -7 depending on daylight savings time.

If you encounter any issues with the submission form or process, please send a PM to Terronium-12 or Jump_Ace.

Feel free to post your best times in this thread. You can compare how you stack up with other participants throughout the week by visiting the FRS Weekly Splits Leaderboard (which can be found here: http://frs.forzaplanet.net). Also note the following:

  • You can submit only ONCE (be sure to give it your best effort)
  • Please give it your best effort as sandbagging is highly frowned upon in the Forza Planet community.

Please refer to this Time Calculator Website to properly add multiple times together (when necessary) before submitting your time.

This is a friendly competition open to drivers of all abilities, so start racing and we'll see you in the results :) 👍

Time Verification:

SPECIAL NOTE: When running your qualifier time. Please restart your session every 15 or sooner (10 to 12 laps depending on the track). FM4 will stop recording your replay after (roughly) 15 minutes. Thus, if you run your best lap after it stops recording, it won't count as you can't provide the replay.

Save your replay and keep it at least 6 weeks after submission:

  • Top 3 fastest times from each division will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide a replay within 3 days
  • Failure to do so will result in the submitted time being ignored for official registration
  • Video replays are not accepted (i.e. using camera phone, camcorders, etc.)

Submitting And Verifying A Requested Replay:

If a request is made for you to supply a replay, look in the results thread for a "(Replay Required)" to appear next to your name and submitted time. You may also get a PM if a replay hasn't been promptly provided.

Many hands make little work and if you can assist the Race Stewards in verifying each others lap times, it won't go unappreciated. Follow The Guide To Managing FM4 Replays to verify another drivers submitted time.

Remember to mark whether the replay was valid or not in the results thread:

- Clean/Valid Lap
rflagnv1.gif
- Dirty/Invalid Lap
bflagtp3.gif
- DQ'd Lap (only used in the results thread by the Race Stewards)

The code to insert a flag is. Remember to wrap them in an Image Tag;

Race Stewards Comments:

Take this FF car and push it beyond it's limits on this fun and open course!

Remember to keep at least two tires on the rumble strip and/or within the white lines on the tarmac. Taking a turn too fast that causes you to go into a run-off, dirt, sand, etc. will invalidate your lap.

Because the FRS is a new series, here is a quick run-down of what you need to do to participate:

  1. Run the Registry Qualifier if you haven't yet, which can be found HERE.
  2. Now load up this week's FRS Car and Track Combo. Drive your best, clean lap(s). Post your results in this thread as you progress throughout the week.
  3. Compare your splits with other participants by visiting the FRS Weekly Splits Leaderboard
  4. When you've done your best, submit your time before the above deadline using FRS Submission Form found HERE.
NOTE - Regarding week's submission form, please leave the Division section blank.

If you have any questions, please post them in the Registry Discussion Thread.

Terms & Conditions of Participation:

When participating in the FRS, you hereby agree to the following terms & conditions:

  1. You agree to abide by the FP Rules & Guidelines: http://www.forzaplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=911
  2. Only one registered XBox Live Gamertag per FP member
  3. Anyone found, or attempting to have more than one registered XBox Live Gamertag will be excluded from all approved FP events and removed from the official FP_Registry.
  4. By registering you agree to abide to all race rules & driving standards laid out by the hosts of all FP approved race events.
  5. When using your official XBox LIve Gamertag registered ID in public or private races outside of FP's control, it is expected that you race to the standard that is deemed acceptable by the hosts of the given event.

Good luck. 👍

FP OLR Admin Team

Nice combo! I know how many people hate Silverstone, but I love the track and I can´t wait to try this, but first I have to work the entire day

Good news about this is before the week is out you'll all have your Divisions to go along with this. :)

First time I think I'm going to enjoy this! Spended quite a while on this track a while ago (Armipotent Adam's bounty) so I know the lines to take 👍

The car is great but I'm going to be having some real difficulties with this track, mainly down to a certain corner called Stowe, I don't think I've ever took that corner correctly. Maybe this is my chance to get used to the track and learn some lines.

Edit: Managed to get to 2:05.937 and there is still quite a lot of time left, I've been up on this ghost by about 0.3 seconds before Stowe but then went off track, luckily this car has good brakes and I've found a place to start braking for Stowe.

I had to stop after 4 laps and it was only a 2:10.193. I know I will get some good runs in.

Leaderboard Updated gents.

Jerome

Okay I gave this one about a 5 lap go, so far 2:09.139 but there is a lot left in that car. I really like the way this car handles. Should be fun working on it this week. Now on to some new Rivals including the caddy on the ring.

After 6 laps, 2:08.023.

I had just eaten some cheese.

This car is awesome-sauce.

Did a quick session last night and got a 2:07.xxx

The car is great! It probably won't be able to beat my Exige's time, but it can keep up with the ghost pretty good in the beginning and I'm sure there are seconds to be won for me.

@Lukas2121: I had to use Google to see which one is the Stowe corner, and yes, that's a critical corner indeed and very tricky. It can easily be overshot or taken too wide. Just make sure you brake early enough, then glide through the apex with a little throttle on and accelerate out full throttle from halfway through the corner. And don't forget to brake in time for the next one, because that's another one where you can win tenths :D

Thanks for some of the tips, I usually overshoot the corner but most the time when I don't I get no where near to the outer edge on the exit of the corner so it feels like I'm losing time from taking the wrong line. The corner after isn't as tough but is still quite hard to get right, especially if you want to get a good line and keep traction through the next long right hander which I have no idea whether to take it as one corner or as a double apex corner.

I take it as one long corner, trying to keep on the inside as much as I can, but I have my doubts sometimes whether that is the fastest way or not.

2:05.168

I had a great session today, I think I've almost reached my limit. In case anyone is wondering what I'm doing during my lap I've uploaded a replay to my storefront.

Melting Brains, that is what I was originally doing but during my little session today I found a slightly faster way through which involved shifting up to 3rd really early and then by the end of it you should be right on the inside for a straight line to the next corner. I'm terrible at explaining this so I'll give up before I confuse people.

Well I ran a few more laps and worked it down to a 2:08.378. I know I can get it into the 2:07 range but not sure I will get much lower then that. Going to give 2121 replay a look to see if I can pick up on a better line.

Good luck everyone

2:07.747 is what I managed after a 4 lap trial. Really enjoying the car/track combos so far, I'm upset that I missed the SEAT one.

The weekly splits leaderboard is off, it says the automobile is the Viper

:embarrassed:

Fixed and updated. We may be changing the colors of the leaderboard a little.

Leaderboard Updated guys. This is how it was supposed to look all along and so far the division placements seem to be working out well, haha.

If all the participants can now make sure their division and gamepad/wheel preference is in their signature line it will help us out a lot so we don't have to look it up.

Jerome

Well I had another run at it and came up with a 2:07.738 time will tell if I can find anymore. I think I am losing some on the first turn as I can not seem to hit that one just right

Copse is definitely an upsetting corner when you're after fast laps. One of the hardest to do consistently imo, although I can't figure out what makes it difficult.

Sitting on a 2:06.484 currently. I may end up a bit lower in the rankings this week, although I've still got more time in the bag :mischievous:

I just did a 2:04.961 and I think if I get some more time this weekend I could
maybe drop another .300
The first corner is a big key too a good lap but I think handling the second set
of corners before the long straight is even more important

2:04.801 I gained a lot in the first 2 sectors only to take the worst line I've ever seen through the last 3 turns. I never realised that I was so soft on the brakes, this car has enough grip to brake a lot harder than usual without locking up.

2:07.302. That's probably what I'll have over the weekend as we are going out of town. Might be able to get some laps after we get back Sunday.
