Submission And Participation:

When you have verified your lap is clean and the best you can do, visit http://frs.atspace.co.uk/submit.
Fill out each field and click Submit at the bottom to complete the process.

This week's time needs to be submitted before May 7th by 11:59PM Pacific Standard Time. This is GMT -8 or -7 depending on daylight savings time.

If you encounter any issues with the submission form or process, please send a PM to Terronium-12 or Jump_Ace.

Feel free to post your best times in this thread. You can compare how you stack up with other participants throughout the week by visiting the FRS Weekly Splits Leaderboard (which can be found here: http://frs.forzaplanet.net). Also note the following:

  • You can submit only ONCE (be sure to give it your best effort)
  • Please give it your best effort as sandbagging is highly frowned upon in the Forza Planet community.

Please refer to this Time Calculator Website to properly add multiple times together (when necessary) before submitting your time.

This is a friendly competition open to drivers of all abilities, so start racing and we'll see you in the results :) 👍

FRS Point System:

We have compiled a point system for the FRS organized by division:Below are some key points on how it works:

  • Divisional Points are as follows:
    1st Place - 8 points
    2nd Place - 7 points
    3rd Place - 6 points
    4th Place - 5 points
    5th Place - 4 points
    Participation - 2 points
  • You get 1 point just for submitting the qualifier run and 2 points just for submitting a time for that week. The better you place for that week, the more points you will receive.
  • Your points will get reset back get 5 points total for being promoted to a higher division.
  • The points will reset every 4 months, completing a 'season'.
  • Once a season ends, the point system will reset back to week 1 using the following week's FRS combo.

Time Verification:

SPECIAL NOTE: When running your qualifier time. Please restart your session every 15 or sooner (10 to 12 laps depending on the track). FM4 will stop recording your replay after (roughly) 15 minutes. Thus, if you run your best lap after it stops recording, it won't count as you can't provide the replay.

Save your replay and keep it at least 6 weeks after submission:

  • Top 1-3 fastest times from each division will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide a replay within 3 days
  • Failure to do so will result in the submitted time being ignored for official registration
  • Video replays are not accepted (i.e. using camera phone, camcorders, etc.)

Submitting And Verifying A Requested Replay:

If a request is made for you to supply a replay, look in the results thread for a "(Replay Required)" to appear next to your name and submitted time. You may also get a PM if a replay hasn't been promptly provided.

Many hands make little work and if you can assist the Race Stewards in verifying each others lap times, it won't go unappreciated. Follow The Guide To Managing FM4 Replays to verify another drivers submitted time.

Remember to mark whether the replay was valid or not in the results thread:

- Clean/Valid Lap
rflagnv1.gif
- Dirty/Invalid Lap
bflagtp3.gif
- DQ'd Lap (only used in the results thread by the Race Stewards)

The code to insert a flag is. Remember to wrap them in an Image Tag;

Race Stewards Comments:

Take this MR car and push it beyond it's limits on this fun and open course!

Remember to keep at least two tires on the rumble strip and/or within the white lines on the tarmac. Taking a turn too fast that causes you to go into a run-off, dirt, sand, etc. will invalidate your lap.

Because the FRS is a new series, here is a quick run-down of what you need to do to participate:

  1. Run the Registry Qualifier if you haven't yet, which can be found HERE.
  2. Now load up this week's FRS Car and Track Combo. Drive your best, clean lap(s). Post your results in this thread as you progress throughout the week.
  3. Compare your splits with other participants by visiting the FRS Weekly Splits Leaderboard
  4. When you've done your best, submit your time before the above deadline using FRS Submission Form found HERE.
NOTE - Regarding week's submission form, please leave the Division section blank.

If you have any questions, please post them in the Registry Discussion Thread.

Good luck. 👍

FP OLR Admin Team

Just did a 10 laps got it down to 1:44.837 now time too tune there is a lot of room for improvement

GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK EVERYBODY

New to the FRS challenge and destined to provide a floor for the times. Just ran the Zonda on Catalunya and am consistently stuck around 1:52. Car feels surprisingly good and I use a wheel w/o any aides.

I generally race with the worldleagueracing.com but find the custom rival events here fun!

btw, I am generally about a 1.5/sec per minute off the pace with the WLR.

Cheers,

Rusty

Welcome aboard Mallwyd. I find this type of race series more fun because you challenger yourself to be better. And it works.

Except for those times when you annihilate your ghost and 🤬 it up at the end of the lap

One reason I hot lap without the ghost. (The other is because it messes up my line of sight if I'm behind) Even though it doesn't make to much difference in the aspect you are speaking. Seeing a split one second faster and 🤬 up the second to last corner and now behind by 4 tenths. :banghead:

After a second attempt I have managed 1:48.654, which is about a full second ahead of what I managed yesterday. I think any more improvements will be in smaller amounts.

1:46.278 without a tune... and without figuring out how to take turn 9 :P

Edit: Ooh I finally hit it right. That with a conservative tune gave me 1:45.690.

I did 3 laps yesterday with no tune and got a 1:46.xxx, I have no idea how to tune anything apart from transmission so I might have some trouble keeping up. If anyone could give some tips I'd be grateful, I'm guessing that max aero is the way to go from the current posts but everything else I have no idea what to do.

First off, there's the possibility that from hereon out that the combos will expire 12:01 AM on the following Tuesday Wednesday of the Monday the combo is posted, and I'll discuss it with my cohorts. It's primarily a means to encourage further competition.

Secondly, I'll upload a tune sometime tomorrow for you guys (considering I'm rather famous for my Zonda R tune, hence the name "Like The Wind". Although the fame itself is attached to a different game :P) and you can give me feedback and I'll improve it along the way; I'm looking to make this a mainstay thing for as long as I can keep it up when I'm able to.

Wouldn't the 12:01 AM only give 2 extra minutes to submit times? In week 7 we had 16 people who submitted times, that's the same amount as weeks 3 and 5 so I don't think it's dropping by much.

Any tune would be great, I've actually tried quite a lot of your tunes for Shift 2 and they were all a lot easier and faster to drive than what I could make from that game. I'll be sure to check out your tune when you post it up, thanks.

And this is what happens when you're adding without having slept yet!

That absolutely would be the case, so make it 12:01 AM Wednesday morning.

T12, Looking forward to those tunes for the Zonda. Not sure it matters but looks like you got my time and Farming swapped on the LB. Also a wheel user for better (experience) or worse (time).

Sorry JwS, that was my error (and my dyslexia)

All corrected now and thanks for stating wheel user in you sig.

Preliminary tune is doing a 1:48.121 on a cautious lap with cold tires.

Will be up on the storefront for feedback shortly.

Tune is up on the Storefront. Search for TFF Zonda R FRS, free of charge.

Give plenty of feedback so I can perfect it. :D

I tried the tune and kept up with my ghost. Quicker than mine in the straight by a bit but slippier in the corners too.
Decided to fix my tune up a bit and now I see my ghost in the distance :banghead:

T12, your tune gained me a few tenths and definitely has better turn in than my safety tune. I know each driver has different styles, but I would suggest adding a little brake force. In your tune did you adjust the suspension settings? Thinking there might be a way to ride the kerbs with more speed on the tight and not-so tight corners.

Tried out the tune, for a 1:47.703, with some mistakes out there. Really nice gearing, too. Nothing to complain about, really. How much DF did you spend, and do you think more would be faster?

Edit: reason I ask: still have to lay off the throttle a lot on the turn to the long straight and the turn to the middle straight is high third gear when I think with more DF I could take it in fourth...

Slippy, noted.

I adjusted just about everything, but the suspension in particular has a softer rear setting and a stiffer front. I'll play around with it and see what happens.

Downforce is, if I remember correctly, 462/497. I can definitely balance out the power though.

Keep the feedback coming!

My best time is 1:49.952. Theres room for improvement though. Leaderboard updated. :)
