Reading the season 2 thread it would appear a few of us enjoy a bit of drifting, would anyone be interested in a drifting league with a couple of members who don't drift judging each corner?

Restrictions:
  • 500HP power restriction
  • Cars must be RWD
  • Street Tyres (the next tyres up from stock)
  • Cars must NOT have positive camber (back in FM2/3 positive camber is used to allow crazy angles ALL cars will be checked using the telemetry in the replay's)
  • Livery choice is open, use a real world livery or one you have created yourself
  • You will use one car for the whole season - modifications to suit certain tracks are allowed so long as you keep within the restrictions
  • Forza Front bumpers are not allowed

    Rules
  • We will start the top 13, this will be a total of 6x2 drift runs (3 drivers will be chosen at random each week to progress to the top 8), this will determine the top 8 which will run 4x2 runs, progressing to the top four of 2x2 runs, the next will determine the winner and 1x2 runs
  • Judges will be required to speak their corner winner (Majority Wins), a spin by a driver automatically forfeits that run to the other driver
  • In the result of a draw an extra (One more time) run will be held to decide the winner of that round

I'm hoping we can complete each round in under 1 hour as I know it sounds like a long process

The first track will be

Heeeeell yeah!! I feel like taking a break from racing, and this could be a lot of fun! Not so serious and all. :cheers:
 
I am totally down. Time to change my CSR wheel to drift mode suckas! Will this be class based or open?

Well I still technically have the game, for some reason though it doesnt read in my Xbox :( It's the only game that does it.

I think a BHP restriction is the way to go here, RWD only of course and all on the same tyre.

I also think of doing it slightly different to the Race season and more like D1/PD where you use the same car all season

That sucks Robot, is that even with the game installed on HDD?

Yeah, even with it installed if i click play game it still tells me to insert the disc. Cant do that because it wont even be able to read the disc. Maybe if i can find it cheap somewere I'll pick it up. As much as i miss it, its just not practical right now. If i do happen to get another disc, I'd be sure to join this Drift league :)

Im suprised Thatman hasn't jumped in this thread here. It was always a battle for the top score with him. Forcone was in a few as well haha.
 
I don't drift at all, but I'd like to spectate now and again. I don't think I'd be any good judging something that I can't do myself. :lol:

In what class do you like to drift? The most of my drift cars are S class and stage 1 tyres...
 
Most of my cars are A600 and the odd S class, but I think instead of classes a BHP restriction of around 500bhp with stock/street tyres
 
We see it in kilowatts Carlos... 1 kW = 1,34 BHP or 1 BHP = 0.75 kW...

I´d really like to see this changed, but I want my mileage and speed in kilometers not miles and you cannot change single units.
 
In Canada we also see Kmh, and have Celcius for temp. I will say that I'm old enough to remember both, so conversions come quickly for me especially the simple formula from Celcius to Farenheit. ( temp in F/your mom's age) X ( the number of Harry Potter books) Divide all of that by...any number form 3-5...haha

Also seeing this talk of BHP, HP, Kmh, MPH etc......Why is America so mixed when it comes to measurements? I know we are a melting pot but when it comes to units we have gone crazy. I put gallons of gasoline in my car, drink liters of soda, measure length in inches, yet most of the tools I use are mm........AHHHHHHHHHHHH where does the madness end America! End Rant/ Like I said I am looking forward to this.

Oooooo really?! I have mine set to km/h though.... I have to look again but I really think this is an option because when I first started the game it was in miles.. Or it was Forza3, not sure...

You can choose between metric and imperial. So that's the complete set you can choose from, not the single units. So it's either [km/h, bar, C, kW] or [mph, psi, F, HP].

I know not a single person here in Holland who even uses kilowatt in real life... :S

When does season 2 end? Maybe I can try to pick up a copy before then. I get paid in two weeks and just remembered all i have left is my cell phone bill so it seems likely that i can get one.

I look forward to some challenges. While I cant go fast in a straight line, I think I am not so bad when it comes to sliding.:mischievous:

We had a sandbagging contest going on for a while -.- haha. I didnt notice it at first but once i caught on, our points kept going back and forth, and then my car reached it's limits :(
