Apart from in Autosport's Premium content (Link if you are subscriber) I have found very little other information on this film. It is coming though and could rival "Rush".

Before I saw this I had no knowledge of who François Cevert was at all. Just read up what wikipedia offers though and I'm surprised I have not heard of him before. Now eagerly anticipating the film whenever it is coming as it has full support from Jackie Stewart and I want to know more about him than a brief wiki page can detail.

If it ever gets done, it won't rival Rush, this one is well underway and I suspect very close to be completely filmed (before editing begins).

In any case, I'd welcome such a movie, the Stewart/Cevert story is an inspiring one.

And from all I read, hear and see, I fear and suspect that "Rush" will be more about Hunt's sex life and the crazed seventies than about Formula 1. Anyone expecting a new "Le Mans" should keep their expectations low.

Anyone expecting a new "Le Mans" should keep their expectations low keep their mouth shut.

If they ever made a story where the track was the centre of the action today, they would still ruin it.

Not an Autosport subscriber, can you give us more details on the Cevert film?

Wow, never thought there'd be a film about Cevert :D.

Ditto.

I'm not either unfortunately, was there in case someone else was. Even a search of the internet returns very little.

I'm still excited about it, a film about motor sport is always going to be good in my eyes and especially in an area I knew very little about beforehand as well. My comment about rivaling 'Rush' did not mean at the same time competing for audience, but review scores and general reception. Hearing more and more about 'Rush' so hype is already building and hopefully same will be said of 'Cevert' in months to come.

If Rush is getting all the hype and all the expectation then Cevert can go quietly about being a film for racing fans.
