were you speaking about tokyo r246?

I don't know why so many people are expecting content or gameplay that hark back to the original GT. Yes, there's that one line in the promotional material that specifically says "evoke nostalgia", but these are the same companies that said GT7 is a combination of the past, present, and future, and a return to form for the series, and I doubt GT7 has lived up to those expectations for most of us here.

I feel like we're forgiving and forgetting a bit too quickly here.

Don't want to sound too optimistic, but I don't think it is stated anywhere officially as GT7 demo, therefore it might be possible for some content in MFGT to be new and not in GT7. I do doubt it will be the case and most likely it won't feature any new content. But there's a possibility a new track will be introduced in the demo and added to GT7 at the same time (within a couple of weeks of release). And I feel like it's not likely at all for a new track to be added to MFGT, but only added to GT7 much later, would be a weird move. Car-wise I don't even see what nostalgic stuff they could add, there's already plenty of those in GT7. Not even sure what they really mean with "nostalgia", consdering there's a Countach on the banner, which first appeared in GT6. And GT6 can surely be nostlagic to some, it has been over 11 years at this point after all since its release.

Exactly.
It will most likely just be a GT7 demo with content that was already present in the original GT.
Like e.g. Deep Forest and the Castrol Supra.
I doubt there will be any new content as that would cause a huge backlash from the GT7 community.

But then again, PD has not always made reasonable choices...

The Countach first appeared in the PSP release. Funnily enough, the PSP release was my first GT game!
Then again, about the whole release, I'm not having too much expectations from it other than it being a condensed version of GT7, one way or the other.

That will mean the three original circuits that are in GT7 plus maybe Autumn Ring.

Only sensible "new track" would be a returning one, and Autumn Ring or SSR5* would make the most sense, imo.

*Clubman?

Same company that also said GT5 would have a freeroam city. One can hope though.

Bringing back some of the old "LM Editions" of existing cars would make for easy nostalgia content. Maybe opponents could have liveries based on previous games' racing modifications.

Also an exclusive pink Vitz transferable to your GT7 file.

I’m excited for this but I hope it’s actually fun. It’ll probably be GT Academy 2013 sized, maybe a bit bigger, but if the events have grid starts or close rolling starts I think it’ll be a good amount of fun.

Oooohhh there are plenty of threads that are reminders people haven't forgiven and forgotten.

I'm just more of the "I got mine( fake Group A stuffs, fake Super Touring stuffs, Custom Race stuffs, wheels, bits & pieces here and there) I'll complain later" category of people that still choose to play.

If they don’t want to give us "new" content, I’d be content with a nostalgic livery pack like you describe.

And in addition to that pink Vitz, a yellow Evo? :sly:
My first gt would be perfect time to bring back the Mitsubishi gto twinturbo 96, was the car that i really got into in gt1 that we currently dont have in gt7,
It really deserves the premium treatment.
The beast. I remember fondly doing one of the SSR11 endurances with it.
