Free cars

forgive me if this has been brought up before, i couldn't find anything on search

ages ago, i got 2 free cars, the supra RZ, and the Renault Avantime, both in black. i dont know why.

do you unlock them when you reach a certain day? was about 2 hundred i think.

if this is true, do you unlock any more cars when you get to maybe 500 days or 1000 days?

I have never gotten any free cars, except for the first one. I have never heard of anyone else getting any other free cars. Did you ever share/trade cars with someone?

nope, dont know anyone else with gtpsp, and never been online because my ps3 is wireless.
i really cant remember buying them. why would i want a renault avantime?

any one else ever got anything?

Yea its actually quite random when you get them.
I have gotten a White ZR1 that way im guessing if you do enough races you get something in your garage

Ok,so im using a friends psp ive unlocked the cars you can see them but the game crashes when selecting them for a race so far they`re undrivable but ill find a way.

R92CP SP MODEL_BLACK
FORMULA_GT SP MODEL_CF

EDIT:After some investigating these black sp cars are supposed to be given every 25% of the games completion i.e.
787B at 25%
GT-One at 50%
R390 at 75%
R92CP At 100%
Formula GT unlocked when completing all gold challenges

thats why they were replaced (i guess) by a minivan and a supra ive got them but they are sharable so when i get back home ill sign into adhoc party and share them

EMOKID, Are you sure you're not confusing this with GT4? I don't get any of the cars you mentioned, and I've completed the game 100% with all golds and 72 S (and all cars in all colours). I've seen a member use cheats to paint the 4 LM cars all black, but there's no other way to get them AFAIK. Not normally at least.

Unless you post a screenshot of the garage and can prove that they aren't a hybrid, I'm not believing this.

To the OP: Maybe you accidentally bought them? Or someone played around with your PSP while you're not looking? I also remember a gaming event some time ago where you could get free cars for GTPSP, did you go to anything like that?

no because i remember going into my garage and two new cars being there, after i had been plying for about 10 mins.
looks like EMOKID has them aswell, weird prizes lol.

Well i`ll try and post a screenshot, and the 100 cars you get at TGS were all cars already in game
and the cars i`m talking about are in the game just have to hack them out.

and the cars are in the game just have to hack them out.

I see conflicting statements here. Just make sure you post things accurately next time so there's no confusion like this. I'm OK with not being able to get some cars if we're not supposed to get it the normal way. But I absolutely HATE it when someone gives false/misleading info on how to get them, and gives us false hope only to back out of their original statement and say it can only be obtained by hacking.

I think he meant to say "WERE supposed to", thus, the idea was scrapped but they were left in the game files.

That explains things a bit. But still, how do you work out PD's intentions before the game is released just by looking at the game data files alone? Again, unless this is proven somehow, I think EMOKID is just speculating. Nothing wrong with that by itself, but when you state your speculations as facts, things can get a bit messy.

That's alright mate, just make sure you don't do it again since you may be misleading people (and lying is not allowed in the AUP I believe).

PD probably removed those cars from the game, but forgot/didn't bother to remove them from the disk, just like the hidden tracks (e.g. Smokey Mt.), seeing as GTPSP is basically a port of GT4.

Actually you can get 5 free cars. Get a Playstation store account and log in via your PSP, then find Gran Turismo and you get 5 free cars in colours in which you cant buy them, they are:

Nissan Skyline GTR
GT by Citroen
Lamborghini Countach
Ferrari Enzo

And sorry but i forgot the other one, its likely to be in the same supercar class as the other four. The only problem for me was how to get it to the actual game, since it was in the same file as the PSP demo games/games file

You can't get these models anywhere. Not without hacking anyway.
