Well, If you don't want to waste your whole day making money and running endurance races over and over to get F1 cars, read this.

There was discussion a while back about running the speedway endurance race with a piece of tape.  After a bit of experimentation, I figured out how to do it.

Using the escudo (1800hp)

1) get super slick tires.
2) Set Automatic transmission
3) widen transmission all the way on auto setting
4) start the speedway endurance race.
5) using scotch tape secure the X button down.
6) using masking tape (scotch wont stick to stick) tape the left stick halfway to the RIGHT.
7) Come back 40 minutes later

My original problem was running into the pits.  This way, you will bounce off the walls and still win by like 30+ laps.

Ok, before I get flamed as a cheater.  F U!  I have better things to do than run endurance races over and over and it took me 11 tries to get an f1 car.

I think this may be applicable to the rome enduro course too, but I need to do some testing

Hey I am not going to flame you an I understand you do not have time but, are you just doing this to get a formula 1 car.....? If you know somebody that has gt3 an a f1 car(s) just trade on the memory card. I know back in gt1 when I wanted a car my buddy had we just traded......

Brian, I wouldn't consider that cheating, because I myself have done it plenty of times

I used the corner of a box instead of tape, and the Turbo Test Track instead of the Super Speedway, but it's basically the same idea...


This is almost a fool proof plan, but I have come back into the room like 20 minutes after setting the comtroler up, and I've seen my car stuck against a wall spinning the tires, and I'm dead last. This only happens to me like 1 out of every 10 times I do it though.

Is there a way to choose the car from the 4 given hen you win a championship? It sucks whenever I win and get the cheapest car on the list!!!!

You can't choose really, but you don't have to keep the one it gives you. After you win the race, save the game BEFORE it gives you one of the four prize cars. THen go to where it gives you the car, and if you don't like the car, go to the main menu and hit LOAD GAME. after you load the game, go back to the series, and go to the place where it gives you the prize car. Keep doing this until you finally win the one you want.


You obviously have to have a PS2 MEMORY CARD for this to work.

ok, lets say its a 5 race series. As long as you win the first 4, you have over an 11 point lead, and you save your game, BEFORE the last race. Then you start the final race, exit out, but youll still win because of your lead in points. If you win a car you dont want, then you just load the game up and repeat. I did this like a million time to see wtf the Tom's Chaser looked like, but it was a POS, So i won another car instead. I also used this to win the vertigo. later

The F1 car you get from winning the SS enduro is not even the best one. Try the Seattle 100 miles to get the F687/S, the Rome enduro for the F688/s, or the Tokyo race for the F094/H.

What endurence race do you think is the easiest? Which one gives you the best car?

Well, the Super Speedwaywould have to be the easiest endurance race. You can win a F090/S if you win it.


The best car you can win is the F686/M, but you win it from doing hard endurance races like 78 laps of Mistral, or 200 miles of Laguna Seca.

I just did the Mistral one, it was quite a fun race actually.  The course is awesome.  With lots of turns, it keeps you awake.  Except I won FTO race car or something like that.  Oh well, still runs a 9.5 in the quarter with the biggest turbo mod.

Since I wrote the last post above, I have noticed that some secret cars can be traded but some not. Like the CLK Touring car shows no price to buy.  I also have the Camero Race Car and I can buy it.
