Free Sample Car DLC question?

Just a question about the free sample DLC cars, are they still able to be downloaded and do you need to buy the whole pack as well to use them in the game? (Can I just download the sample car and use it in game (career) without having to buy the pack) I'm out of MS points at the moment so I'll have to put off buying the whole packs until later.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, that's why they're there, so you can have one of the cars. They also allow for people who have not bought the full pack to race people who have.

In other words, if you bought the sample car from the Jalopnik pack, you can now race the people who bought the cars from that pack online.

You can race with those people whether or not you have the pack, it just allows you to actually see what car they're using instead of a murdered out Jetta if you get the free sample car.
