Freezing issue, need help

I have the 80 GB fat PS3 and GT5 use to work really fine with me, recently i ran out of space and i upgraded the space with the 320GB, the game was working fine for 3 days then suddenly froze, i restart the game and then it keeps freezing at the menu start up.

I deleted and reinstalled the game and it didnt fix it, i tried the CD on other Ps3 system and it works fine, a friend of mine suggested to use the Rebuild Database option below

I started the game and it worked fine like before, but after 3 hours of playing it froze and whenever i restart its the same, so everytime i wanna play GT5 now i have to rebuild the database which is annoying cuz i have to do my playlists again

So my guess is this problem started when i upgraded the system with 320GB, i was wondering if there is any faulty compatibility of the 320GB with the fat PS3? or anyone have encountered problems with the 320GB in fat PS3. So currently i dont know what to do, replace the 320 with another 320GB or try the 500GB, and i cant go back to the 80GB cuz i need space

You need to make sure you picked the right hard drive for your system. Not any hard drive will be compatible. Also, can you play other games besides GT5 successfully?

Well the local shop recommended this one for me and they installed the hard drive
So far am playing Assasin creed revelation and its working fine
