Friends list in GT6?

Hi.

Where do I see my friends in GT6?
When I create a room with only friends then there are no friends.
Where can I follow my friends progress as you could in GT5?

I know if your friends are in a room you can pick"show friends only" on the room selection screen. If they have a room or rooms going they will show up. Hopefully they will make finding each other easier.
