Had a few decent laps earlier with @Furinkazen around Silverstone, really enjoyed the battle we had going side by side through the first corner at one point, had the pace on him down the straights but lacked in the corners especially Copse.

Will need to test the GT-O cars for next season then decide on a car choice

We started side by side onto Hangar straight and then continued all way till T1

I tested it with PL at 100% and it was 2secs slower than any other car on a 1:10 lap, so if it needs power reduced as well, then god help anyone who drives that car.. :scared: - It needs looking at imo, others all seemed good! 👍

You did something wrong with the specs on the Vette then. It uses the PL and without it, it blows every other car away easily. It has all the power down low in the 3000-5000 range though, so you need to set the transmission very long to be able to harvest the power at higher speeds. Shift nowhere near the red line.

Edit: Here's all of the specs (from my original message to Furi ;)) again:

Ferrari 250 GTO:
310hp, 880kg, 481PP

Chevrolet Corvette (C2): Supercharger, ECU, Weight S3
335hp (PL), 1137kg, 488PP

BMW 507: Engine S3, Isometric Exhaust, ECU, Intake Tuning, Weight S2 +Window+Hood
341hp, 1088kg, 483PP

Ferrari 250 GT berlinetta passo corto: Engine S1, Isometric Exhaust, ECU, Weight S1
339hp, 892kg, 488PP

Jaguar E-Type: Isometric Exhaust, ECU, Intake Tuning, Weight S3+Window+Hood
333hp, 1021kg, 483PP

Mercedes 300SL: Engine S3, Isometric Exhaust, ECU, Weight S3+Window+Hood
336hp, 1059kg, 479PP

Shelby GT350: Supercharger, Weight S1
370hp, 1155kg, 491PP

And here's short characterizations from my point of view:

Ferrari 250 GTO:
One cannot deny that it's designed to race. Good chassis, slow on straights though and bad brakes.

Chevrolet Corvette (C2):
Good chassis. Clearly the predecessor of the C3. Handles well, especially with the massive weight reduction and has loads of torque down low which gives it great acceleration.

BMW 507: Good handling (feels even lighter than it is), enough torque. Can do everything well. Probably underrated in the eyes of most.

Ferrari 250 GT berlinetta passo corto: Got a boosted engine and a weight reduction to be able to keep up with its sister-car and sure is able to. Higher top speed than the GTO, but a little tricky to drive.

Jaguar E-Type: The positive is: It's good natured, it's got the best top speed and the best brakes of all cars. It's a bit sluggish though and it needs very high revs to unleash its potential.

Mercedes 300SL: The reigning champion. :D Good top speed, usually predictable and stable in corners, but a bit fickle in the wet. Don't be shy to rev past the red line.

Shelby GT350: A real muscle car, but with an engine that has a bit more race characteristics. It's a very good allround car with no particular weaknesses. And Lout showed what it can do in the wet, obliterating the rest of the field.

Pick your poison!

The 507 wasn't good off the line when I was driving it.

Then again, I probably made 1st gear too long. :ouch:

You need first gear basically only once all season. And that's where the race is 3.5 hours long, so it doesn't really matter. My 1st gears in WSC are mostly as long as they can be without fiddling with the final ratio too much. And that's still too short in many cases.

Corvette, 250 GT-B corrected.

To confirm, I'll be driving the 300SL. This season is for gaining experience and hopefully fighting for the GT-O Am championship, I may drive a GT-P in future seasons.

4 weeks time so a few test sessions can be arranged and the final BoP can be finely adjusted to assure a competitive season for all.
