Most people in Sport Mode, if they do use custom liveries, just make whatever they think is cool, and that's totally cool.
I'm personally loving the WRX Gr.3 since day one on GTS, so I've made it a point to race in as many Gr.3 races as I can with this car, and show off my style more and more as my Driver Rating improves, kind of like working my way from being a "privateer" to a "heavily sponsored" driver in-universe. It's kinda nerdy but I enjoy the idea.
Here's the very first livery I made on the game. It's a very test car style, barely any sponsors and a very plain blue base.
Not long after I hit Rank D, I changed up from the test car look to a still simple, but lightly sponsored look. This has a more privateer feel.
Rank C is when I decided to try to explore how to use the elements in my "Racing Heart" logo on the whole body. There still aren't many logos, but the base is asymmetrical. Note how I use the digital-looking heart as full-body stripes here - that's going to carry on into higher ranks.
My Rank B livery is a massive evolution from the Rank C version. Here I took some inspiration from some HKS drag cars and applied the heart-stripes in various colors across the whole body of the car. There's also many, many more sponsor decals.
And now that I've finally hit Rank A Driver Rating, the style I had from Rank B is subtly fused with the pattern based styles of modern drift and tuner show cars. The new color combo here is meant to give it more of a "boss character" look. Check out all those little details...
I've shared my Test Car, Rank D, and Rank C liveries on my Gallery in GTS, the Rank B car will be posted soon~
