I have wanted to post a thread like this a long time ago, but never did.
The concept: Find a real life photograph of a car and location that is featured in GT5. Then select that exact car, exact location and exact conditions in GT5 and try to reproduce the shot as closely as possible. The ultimate goal is to lay each shot side by side and see how GT5 reproduces the real life image.
The rules
- Car and location (track or photo travel) must be exactly the same as their real life counter parts (there are minor exceptions).
- The exception to this is if the car's specific model is not evidently noticeable in the shot. If this is the case, you may use the model it is based off of. In addition if the car has decals or unique paint, but the model is the same, you may use photoshop to enhance your shot in GT5.
- If the location is not discernible (out of focus or just vague) then please choose a location and scene that is as close as possible.
- If a picture contains multiple cars, you must follow the first rule. All cars must be the same model and in the same position. However, if the cars in the real life shot are not determinable then you may use any car as long as it is close.
- You may use photoshop to get your GT5 photo as close as possible... however...
- Your GT5 photo may only contain assets from GT5. It may not include any assets from the real life photo or any other source. GT5 only.
Posting guidelines: All posting is allowed. However, when you post your GT5 and real life shots, just be sure to post them together. You can also request real life shots for GT5 photographers to try an recreate.
