Front aero question, please help!

When I add the front aero kit and extension in GT auto to certain cars they change the appearance, but do they actually add downforce/aid handling if there is no adjustment available once fitted? In tuning it shows that the parts are indeed fitted, but the front downforce value is displayed as '0' and is fixed...

In these cases are the front body kit and canards superfluous?

Thanks in advance to those kind enough to assist...

I would say: Yes, it seems so!
But could it be that it adds 0.4 downforce? Who knows.....

Sometimes the front downforce shows "2" after adding aero, example: Nissan GT-R '09

Keep an eye on the car's PP. If it increases when you add the aero bits then they have definitely helped. Even if the PP doesn't increase, though, it is still possible that the aero parts might have helped.

No, I think this has been clarified. The "front" aero options are only visual. I may be wrong, but I have never experienced handling differences.
